Juan Soto (calf) returned to the Nationals starting lineup for Wednesday's battle against the Phillies.

Soto had been held out of the starting lineup since leaving Sunday's game due to tightness in his left calf. He's serving as the Nats designated hitter and batting second against Phillies right-hander Aaron Nola in this one. Soto returns to a .226/.382/.449 line with 15 homers and five swipes through 343 plate appearances on the season.
