Its ridiculous that he isn't yet. Sign him with a long-term deal, make him Captain and fill your roster with your players in the minors. Forget signing multiple big free agents every year.

This is the only option the Yankees have left if they want to keep Judge. Pay him the max. You gambled and you lost. The same is happening with the Ravens and Lamar Jackson. They gambled and not only will they not win they will end up losing Lamar.

Good for Aaron, declining the Yankees offer and producing like he has. Gotta root for the guy at this point.

Judge is -1200 to win.
There's no Ohtani train for anyone.

I don't think they think they're going to keep him. If they were going to keep him at all costs, he would be signed by now.

Either total money equal to Trout or highest AAV for 8 or 9 years.

Its going to be more than 100m more than what the Yankees offered him. I would be shocked if he doesn't get 300m+

Aaron judge is a awesome talent and a classy guy, but I still think he is a little bit older than the money he is asking for. He will be 31 at the start of next season. So he is wanting crazy money for 8-9 years which is not comparable to younger players.

Like it was said earlier the Yankees gambled and lost. I still think that money can be spent elsewhere to make the team better next year.

He will get from a dumb team close to 400m. I don't think the Yankees are this stupid but somebody will be.

Here's a recent example from a guy who's been in the news a bit.

From Age 21-30 seasons, Albert Pujols averaged the following line:
41 HR, 123 RBI, 118 Runs, 42 2B while slashing .332/.426/.625
He won 3 MVPs and finished in the top-4 in NL MVP voting 9 times.
Amassed a WAR of 61.2 (Average 6.12/season)

From Age 31-35 (let's just assume he had signed a 5-year contract)
I'll forget the counting stats here as he did have his first extended IL stay.
Slash line: .272/.334/.488
WAR: 18.6 (3.72/season)

Ages 36-40
.244/.295/.416
WAR: 0.3 total

Finished top-5 in MVP voting once (Age 31 season) and never again higher than 17th after that. Time is largely undefeated, even for the greats.

Holy crap…these prices are nuts on Judge cards.

I mustered up enough courage to offer highest prices I’ve ever sent on eBay. Both my $24,000 bids were rejected by the two 2013 Bowman Gold Chrome auto refractors.

A red one sold for $65,000 & a purple at a show for $50,000.

This may be the best season in MLB history and possibly the sharpest rise in card prices that I’ve ever seen.

Point well taken. See Tom Brady.

You are not resigning JD or Eovoldi. Throw the money at Judge!....Lol....that would piss us off for all eternity. Getting to the point hes gonna get paid 45 million a year.

We should be so lucky! Honestly, I think it's NY vs SF.

He’s a lot closer to the Triple Crown with his hot week.
