Likely not anytime soon. The next Trout card rally is probably when he approaches 500 HRs, if he approaches that number. I hope he gets there. I happily pick up his cards in bargain boxes but his cards are usually priced higher at tables than online. I suppose table dealers are notoriously slow to claw back prices.

He’s a hot week at the plate away from 400 homers. That should generate some buzz.

Will be interesting to see how media frames 400 homers when Trout gets there. Will it be a big deal, or will they bring up his health issues in the 2020’s and paint it in the light of “what could have been”?

Only one other active player has 400+ HRs, so it will be cool to see someone else join that club. Judge will likely pass him sometime in early 2027, but I’ll bet that Trout passes Stanton first.

Potentially both Judge and Trout could end up in HoF the same year since they are the same age.

How many multiple MVP winners, players with power and speed, players who have extremely limited playoff games (3 each), with nearly identical counting stats at age 34, trout has less than 3 weeks before 34. How many players were elite top shelf baseball hobby guys. We all know about Trout but there was a reason Murphy was placed 3rd as the most valued Beckett Monthly issues with his rookie card on the Beckett. Beckett was the eBay of Murphy’s era.

If you don’t like comparison’s to the hobby then that’s a you issue.

I pulled a Graig Nettles auto once from a blaster of '23 Archives. I think I sold it for like $4. *coolstorybro*

You should've held because I think you could get at least $10 for it now.

Trout hits a HR, Angels losing 6-3. All is right in the world.

He shows signs of life at times but man, he really has trouble catching up to the heat, not even just high anymore, and the pitchers are attacking him. He still punishes the off speed so maybe theres a shred of hope. If nothing else, please just stay healthy. Missing a month hurt.

He's doing pretty well against fastballs this year, it's the breaking balls (glove side sliders down especially) that are killing him. He's still committed to taking first pitch meatballs too which I don't think he can afford to do anymore.

Stats in a vacuum don’t mean much without seeing the league average.

I don't even need to look it up. The league hits worse against fastballs over 96 mph, and better against fastballs under 96 mph. It was a worthless argument.

I just wanted them to know that I see through their idiocy.

It's a small sample size, but his BA and SLG are below league average this season against fastballs 96 MPH and above:

League-average: .237/.319/.371

Mike Trout: .206/.400/.382

He hasn't been particularly good against high-velocity fastballs in recent years:

Versus fastballs 96 MPH and above -- 2023-2025:

League-average: .233/.316/.364

Mike Trout: .259/.402/.407

He gets walked more than league average due to his reputation.

He did well against high-velocity fastballs in 2022 -- his last noteworthy season: .250/.348/.482

You see the idiocy.

Gearing up for the heater and getting fooled on the hard breaking ball as a result.
