Agreed. The are a very solid club. Weirdly satisfying to see some success for old school Lizard Dusty. As we sit right now it's hard to see any other squad in the AL competing with these 2 come playoff time.

The ball bounces funny over 162. Career years for legends like T-Bone Shelby and that stiff Mike Marshall. The 2 Tims(Belcher and Leary) had decent years backing up Hershiser.
The Hershiser streak that year was one of the best streaks in sports to follow in my lifetime. I thought the A's would sweep LA that year with that team they had.

They had no business getting past the Mets. I still remember the moment that Scioscia took Gooden deep. Dude averaged like 4 HRs per year

Tomorrow will let us Yankees fans know what this team will be going to look like going forward. If they don’t at least start hitting the way they should then it is just going to have to be luck the rest of the season.

They need a bounce back performance tomorrow. It'll be pretty sad if they come out looking like they have the last 2 games.

At least the Brew Crew are looking good against the Jays so on a day the Yankees get no hit they may not get hurt in the standings.

The best thing he did today was let Javier finish the 7th. Dude was laboring a bit and Dusty did not move an inch.

The Yankees starting lineup today was composed of 3 players hitting over .250 - the best of which (Judge) is prone to streaky periods. Their most consistent bat (Lemathieu - probably spelled wrongly) got one at bat off the bench.

It’s a team that is going to score lots of runs throughout the season, but is prone to days like this one. I don’t think it’s cause for concern

I agree 100%. But good teams are capable of looking like sh*t. Today, and yesterday, were two of those days.

There’s nothing more satisfying in pro sports right now than listening to those idiot guidos at Yankees Stadium chant FCK ALTUVE then watching Jose launch a homer

There’s nothing more satisfying than knowing that their only title will be forever tainted due to cheating screw you jackass.

Glad to see that you don't lower yourself to their level. Such a lack of class on those New Yorker's part. Being offensive to someone. How classless..

Love message board Yankee haters. Very predictable. Happens when your team never wins, or cheats to win.

I don’t hate the Yankees, I think it’s hilarious that they cheated too but their fans chant F*CK ALTUVE all season long even when they aren’t playing the Astros and Altuve absolutely owns them. It’s a fun rivalry and makes early season baseball more meaningful. My only slight issue is Yankee fans pretending they don’t root for cheaters too

Not saying the Yankees don’t have skeletons in their closet the Astros just took it to the next level. Sorry I got heated but I was just in the moment.

WTF is wrong with the Yankee pitchers? DON"T let Altuve beat you! How f*cking hard is that to understand?

Throw him a first pitch meat ball. Real smart.
