I think the Jeter card is the true test. 10,000 of them out there and prices hanging steady, with hundreds available at $10.

I think that Bradley card will be a hot one for red sox collections down the road once this set is well known.

Topps is going to have to work hard to keep the momentum going. They fired one of their big bullets this week with Acuna, but evenutally, they are going to have to have more weeks like the Altuve week. It will be very interesting to see how they follow up on the Acuna madness.

It does seem strange that they've only had 1 pitcher so far (and that one also DH's)

I don't need think they really fired a big bullet.
Firing off the rookies as they come up sells a week and gets them at their peak.
If this set was around 2 years ago a Byron Buxton week would've sold a ton when he came up. Today he's a glorified common with potential.

Mix rookies, vets, pending free agents and they have zero to worry about

& also by doing a Acuna this week it brought a ton of new people to this set. They find his cards on ebay & the research & bam! they are now hooked! Very smart of them if you ask me.

I've got one Week 1 set up on the bay right now. A little nervous that I'm selling too early, but that profit looks juicy. My second set, I'll likely sit on until I see prices start to fall, whenever that is. In the meantime, what is everyone thinking in regards to grading? PSA I think is the way to go, as with most "throwback/retro" designs. It'll take a while to get these back with (I imagine) a fair amount of bulk subs sitting is PSA's lockers, but it might take a while for these prices to stabilize anyway.

For those wondering: PSA does not seem to have the Living Set pop'd. Here is BGS's pop report:

It's hard to build even if you start now from a cost standpoint for many people. I'm glad I bought in early but am kicking myself I didn't buy more then what I did. I just didn't see it taking off like this.
