High this week is 71 on Thursday which is nice because we have the state parks and recreation golf tournament all day. I get paid to play golf, LIV Tour here I come. Last year our A team took 2nd and the B team took 9th. I was on the B team.

Things I'm learning in my search for a lake house:
1. People have terrible design taste
2. Agents get nervous when you start talking about cash payments in full
3. Old money doesn't like the idea of people not like them moving into the neighborhood

I thought I had found a place I loved, it was in a gated community, private country club, nice place. I went to see it and was prepared to buy it on the spot. That was until I saw the people living in that community. They were evil. The agent took me to the nice restaurant in the community for lunch. I don't dress up, for me dressing up is a polo shirt and jeans with some nice sneakers. This older lady, probably in here mid 60's and her husband, came up and basically said I wasn't welcome there and how they had worked their whole lives to live somewhere with people like them. They knew nothing about me, only judged based on what I was wearing. Part of me wanted to tell the agent I wanted to make an offer to buy the club from the owner of it just to prove a point.

And yeah, people get nervous about cash for some reason. I called about a car I want last week and the dealership started talking about all the finance options. When I said financing might not be needed and I might buy with cash, they changed and started acting nervous.

That sounds like a miserable person. I wonder if she had ever felt real happiness in his life.

My friends are some funny dudes. They now have a bet going on who can find the woman that I'll finally settle down with. They all have put money into this. I keep telling them, that it's not going to be easy to win the bet. There wives and girlfriends are now trying to help them win the bet by bringing more and more of their single friends around. So far they have all failed.
