I’ve never had a sloppy joe (I think the sauce comes in a can). We make beef barbecue, in essence the same thing but homemade. I’m guessing it tastes better too.

My mom's go to for make barbecue is Bennett's Chili Sauce. I've had it for as long as I can remember. All you need is a bottle of that and some meat and you are good to go. It is not sloppy in the way that it drips sauce, so you can eat it without getting your hands all dirty.
