Almost 3 months in R&ID? Not looking promising for the majority of recent TCG subs (including mine sent in at the end of January)

Yeah with the back log for assembly I have been seeing I will be surprised if I get my cards back before May

NO upcharges. Dang! one 10 i expected got a 9, one 9 i expected got an 8. Everything else got a 9 as expected.

I didnt get an email but when I looked at pricing for card in a 10 I wouldnt have past the $1000 insured value. I did get a 10 though so I am super happy about it

The December special was full of 2019 Donruss WNBA, 2023 Bowman U Now, and 2022 Panini Chronicles WWE that I have always done well with in previous orders, with gem rates of 70-85%. This order was 24/69 or 34.7% gem rate. Will be evaluating future subs based on this pattern.

A 4? Did it have damage you didn't see, or was it someone that even at a 4 is worth more than the grading cost?

My guess was damage I didn't see. Card was a 2024 Prizm Brian Thomas Jr. Red/White/Blue

Did you get the scans yet? Would be very interesting to see what would warrant a 4 from a 2024 set.

4 in assmebly checkmark for a few days to a week, first one popped today. 2 months under the specified time. I can't really complain. 4-10s and 10-9s out of 14 cards. Lots of 90s and 00/10s inserts, refractors and parallels. The grading was fair on this order.

I was sure it was lost and was in contact with Canada Post for a claim but it finally arrived at PSA and they honored the december specials even if it didn't arrived before January 31st

I can't see this going very well. I can't count how many times I have had to wipe off gunk and fingerprints from cards. Plus it is nearly impossible to tell how mint a card is especially a card surface from a picture/scan. Feel like a lot of people are going to lose money by using this service.

That was my initial thought. Buyers will be putting all of their faith in sellers to have the cards cleaned before they sell them, which never happens.

My second thought was, "Before announcing this, maybe have your backlog cleared."

As a buyer, being able to get things graded before being sent to you is actually rather intriguing.
As a seller, this sounds like a potential headache.

Oh well. Just submitted a March special one card submission. Waiting on two other subs still from early to mid March to get into R&ID. We'll see how quick the turnaround is in comparison to the SGC sub I am going to be shipping once they get back to me on an item entry issue I created.

It will be a rude awakening for newbie buyers who don't know what grade excellent translates to. Congrats your card passed and graded - enjoy your psa 5. Maybe they'll eventually add number ranges next to the ebay descriptors so buyers have a better idea of what to expect.

I'm guessing they'll have the AG guy handle the grading on the spot so there's no disagreement on whether a card is nm or better or whatever.
