Some other judges from that same submission. The stadium club had some pretty bad chipping on the back was hoping for an 8.

Bet some weird and wacky COVID 19 vaccine thing in the contract made Aaron walk away from New York's offer. We'll see what happens in the fall. Aaron's one of the most solid dudes in the MLB. Yankees being weird with him I believe.

Well, I won't be buying a single Judge card this year. Unless he gets hurt that is. Then I'm sure he'll be willing to take anything NY offers.

I’ll buy from ya! Judge has common sense and morals unlike so many in this league.

Thinking he's on the same level and deserves a contract equal to Trout's does not scream common sense.

8 years for $230 mil? I love our boy Judge but I truly believe he messed up not taking this offer.

Agreed. That was a pretty solid offer IMO

Sounds like he wanted to be around the 10 year $360 miilion range like Trout got

Most articles are quoting Bob Nightengale, who I know isn't the best. But when you turn down $30.5 mill a year, there's not a lot of wiggle room up to $36 mill a year.

Not when there are scrubs making more... why shouldn't he get paid what he's worth?

Poor agent who shut down Judge's long term deal. The best deal is the yankees letting him walk

Take 250 million.. you suck bro

I truly hope it was the agent, so at least we can blame him instead of Judge.

However, when I was reading a story about Judge and this deal, I saw reference to a teammate's comment that Judge has to do what's best for him and his wife. I thought, "oh, that's strange, I can't believe he got married so soon after breaking up with that girl who got a DUI in Arizona and was harassing the arresting cop because "do you KNOW who she's dating!?"

Oh...he didn't break up with that girl?

It seems like really dumb life decisions are the guy's MO.

Fascinating reading that Judge turned down what appears like a rich extension offer from the Yankees. What do you think he’s expecting in the open market?

Does he want off the Yankees bus and willing to take a discount to get there???

Maybe he'll get a minor league deal at season's end/his season's end.

Had a request to post this after I posted a picture of an Acuna poster I made for my son and mentioned I also recently made one for my other son of Aaron Judge. Hope all the Judge fans enjoy it!

If judge hits 42 home runs this year he will have 200 HRs at the end of his age 30 season. Barring a catastrophic injury he will likely sign a contract of 7-10 years. Because of the dollars on the deal he will likely get at bats into his late 30’s, ala pujols. With the addition of DH to the NL his chances to get late career at bats doubles. I previously thought due to his late start in mlb that he wouldn’t have a chance to reach milestones like 500 HRs, but given his circumstances I now believe he does have an outside chance to get to 500. This all of course is predicated on his ability to stay healthy, which sadly is a different conversation.
