EXCELLENT freaking game.....and that is what I was saying with 13 seconds left in the game. This is exactly what every fan of the NFL should want to see - explosive offenses making plays for literally their playoff lives over and over.

Fan or not a fan of PM, the dude is special. He made play after play when needed. Tip of the cap to Josh Allen also.....I think the offensive play calling was crazy with him running all the time, but continued to find Gabrial Davis when he needed a big play

Onto the next one...........

GOOOOOOO CHIIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEFFFFFFFFSSSSSSSSS

People complaining about Bills not getting chance well maybe they played any D all game they don't need Allen to be superman to get them into that point. When Mahomes only needs 10 seconds to go downfield to tie the game your D is trash.

The heavy Mahomes fans are annoying, or maybe it's just because I'm seeing the Chiefs in the AFC championship game for the 4th straight year, and they likely make the Super Bowl for the 3rd straight year.

Also, still can't get over that Bills defense in the end. That was brutal

Not sure if anyone has said that, but if there was a God "mode," we just witnessed it. OG Doom style.

That is the reason it is pointless to have a guaranteed 2nd possession unless you make another change in conjunction with it. If you want to argue that there are guaranteed 3rd and 4th possessions and you continue until someone slips up then I can understand that argument. I just feel the players and coaches would not agree to that as its going to take a toll on the
players.

In addition you give an advantage to the 2nd team in regards to play calling as they are now playing a 4 down game instead of a 3 down game. If the first team scores they know they have to continue to go for it even on 4th down. At this point the way it is set up it is the closest they can get to the way a game is traditionally played.

They were the number 1 defense. Crappy game, but far from trash.

I'm probably annoying with my Mahomes love but I will say Allen looked better than I ever thought he could be and Burrow/Herbert are awesome too. We as fans lost Brady/Manning/BigBen but we might get something even better for the next decade+ with Mahomes/Allen/Herbert/Burrow.

Or they could just throw ten minutes on the clock and let it play out like every other sport on the planet does. Lots of options - all of them better than the current format.

Agreed. This works as well. Anything is better than what they have now

The amount of absurd, young QB talent in the AFC is absurd when you look at the NFC, where the currently list of "exciting, young QBs" consists exclusively of Kyler Murray - and I would take all four of those AFC guys listed over him.

Allen did look really good. He will be a force for years

Chiefs need a better defense though. #27 in yards allowed thx to secondary is why these games are nail biters.

... I'm going to email McDermott and remind him to tell the kicker to kick a scribbler on the ground to eat some clock

All-time viewing right there. Amazing qb play with incomprehensible defensive lapses.

What a game.

I agree with this option, especially for the playoffs. If the players and coaches are up for it just play it out like a traditional quarter. Of course we can still run into the same problem as what if it is still tied. Then they play another quarter. For player safety I still prefer the way it is now but this option you proposed is the other only reasonable option available.

Told a friend on Friday that this weekend is the best weekend in sports. Basically 4 Superbowls. It was better than I imagined. Hopefully we see more of the same going forward.

To be honest, all the others were clunkers that got exciting at the end. This game was truly back and forth.

Whoa, whoa, whoa. I'm not Boo man. I was just stating the obvious entitled nature of the inhabitants.

Kind of surprised they haven't built a block chain shrine in his honor.
