I've been pleasantly surprised with how the week has gone. My sales have been strong (25% off, but I try to already have low prices), and a lot of categories I collect have had some nice discounts. The catch is that I'm spending more than I'm selling! That said, should be a fun shipment home sometime early next year!

Hope everyone else's sales are still going strong! Still a few more days of discounts (and hopefully continued deals on Monday).

Sold $550 so far but had to be creative and deeply discounted to get there since vast majority of the port was originally $1-$2 stuff. I have a feeling there will be an uptick Sun/Mon as the sale approaches the close.

Doing my part on both sides, looks like I've purchased $323 so far from 136 cards purchased. Checking my watch list a few times a day helped secure a few lowered prices. I, and I'm sure most others, will wait until Monday before doing any more serious scouring. Pretty much hunt and peck on that site until then.

I think if your cards are priced close to current comps you are doing well with sales this week. If you are running a big discount and your cards are still priced way higher than recent sales, then you're probably not going to sell much.

Most buyers are not looking for the biggest discount percentage - they are only looking at the current price and comparing it to recent comps. They are typically not going to buy a card marked at 40-50% off when it is still double the price of what they can get it on eBay for.

I'm only running a 10% off promo and am up to over 160 sales totaling over $1,500, so even small percentages off will work if you price competitively.

Hopefully sales stay strong through the weekend and into Monday for everyone.

I agree about looking for price rather than the % discount. On October 1st, I went through every one of my items and made sure that each one was the lowest on the site. My sales have been good up until the BF sale started, but this week has been my worst week in the past couple of years. We still have a few days to go, so things may pick up.

So far I've moved 110 cards for a total of $140.72...LOT of <$1 cards that have been listed that way for years and years, lot of things to set builders, especially Heritage & GPK this week.

39 sales for $435 so far, a little light on the volume but it seems to be picking up since yesterday.

Did Comc just changed their Black Friday free shipping over $150 to $5 credit on the next shipping? I was pretty sure it said free shipping, but now the policy says $5 credit towards the next shipping.

Its the same. Well, when they advertise and promote free shipping the fine print and details always are about a $5 shipping credit. They never offer full or complete free shipping. Youll still have to pay the .25 cents per item or extra for expedited service.

I posted something related to the free shipping offer but no one cared to reply.

I bumped my sale up 5% for the next 2 days as sales seemed to slow. Curious if it will help.

I did the same and went to a 40% discount. Any idea how long it takes for the new discount to go live after it’s approved?

I bumped my sale up 5 percent earlier this afternoon and the new sale price went live within minutes. But I did my change right around the hour so that might be why, I believe when you set a sale, they go live around 5 minutes after each hour.

Does anyone know if comc sends paypal cash outs through F&F? Or do I need to pay another 3% on top of the 10% cash out fee?

I was told they're sent as a "Mass Payment", essentially FF as far as we're concerned.

Thanks! You're spot on - took about 40 minutes for mine to go live but it did so right after the hour turned.

Sold as much yesterday as day 1. Been a really good week selling & buying - seen alot of sales on my watchlist too. Mostly vintage and big name current players. I only had a 10% sale and 20% on some higher dollar stuff, but my regular prices are usually pretty low. So I've been pleased that people look at the price and not just the discount. I look at other people who complain about sales and their stuff is simply overpriced. I've bought 15,000 cards on COMC this year and sold close to 5,000 so if you aren't selling or buying you may want to reevaluate.

I only started selling on COMC this year after being a collector since discovering the site in 2013 - wish I would've sent stuff in years ago. I've done okay in sales for BF, I think? But this BF sale in particular feels worse than ones past as a buyer. For me, the golden age of COMC BF was 2014,15,16,& 17.

I was hoping I'd sell more, but I don't have the inventory that the heavy hitters on the site have, and I guess there's still more time. I'm still new to this aspect of the hobby, but I'm wondering if anyone has experience with selling their entire port at once?

Sales picked up yesterday, pretty happy with me weekly sales so far. 21 total items sold for $525 is my true count. My promotions manager shows 17 total items sold for $455.

Hey, you sound like me - I got my first pack of cards from a teacher in 3rd grade in 1993!

Back in the early COMC days, I used to actively look at and buy ports including some pretty expensive ones and thought it could be a really good deal for both buyer and seller.

These days, even though I have a lot of COMC credit, it's been ages since I've looked because there are too many port ads to sort through and too many seem to have incredibly unreasonable listing prices.

I've seen people throw around current estimates of 20-40% which seems reasonable depending on what you have. Since your port is still sized where you can reasonably adjust prices manually or run sales, you might have better luck trying to move things individually (unless you really want to cash out ASAP).

There are also some forum users who are actively looking for ports. Maybe put up a post in the For Sale forum and let those people look at your port and make an offer here? Good luck!

So, apparently they butchered the coding on the free shipping promo (and possibly the total sales number to reach other bonuses, too).

The wording was: spend $150 of credit on anything, during the promo week = get one free shipment until Monday.

I´m easily past that at $350 spent but the items I want to use the "ship for free" on, sum up to only $21 so far.
Then what it does is tell me I need to spend another $129 to get free shipping.
It also states one or more items were not purchased in simplified mode or on comc, which is also false. No such item in my shipment.

So as is, it looks like you need to have $150 of cards shipped to get the free promo or your SOL. Obviously not what they advertised.

$664.68 in sales
$749.27 in purchases

Some cards at around eBay market, like Burrow PSA 10, haven't moved, but some cards double eBay I was waiting on sold. One card even sold during the ten minutes it wasn't even on sale.

Fatigue on my part at looking for deals - hopeful as Monday approaches.

Feel like this week has been solid, purchased a bunch of 1994 finest refractors needed for my set and some stars (Larkin, alomar, murray) below or at comps

sold 83 items at around 300 dollars, but its been a ton of my low end thats been there since 2018 below 75 cents so im glad thats helped clear out my inventory a little bit for stuff that im just glad isnt there anymore because it was a month or two away from just being donated

They're actually currently punishing sellers who set up new BF sales.
The only prices updating in search results the past 24h are ones changed manually; not items on sale.

Was planning on finally starting a sale today or tomorrow, but not if they don't fix this. Been doing just fine without running one, so not gonna force it.

For me it usually takes 10-15 minutes to update. Doesnt really matter if it is at the start of the hour.

I mentioned that the other day. They want you to buy and ship $150 of cards during the promo. Thats not what they promised!

You're right. Adjusted one a couple dollars and now the sale shows.

Guess I'll adjust every price manually to populate it.

Did you ever figure this out? I too purchased a few hundred dollars worth of cards and I'm getting the "not purchased in simplified mode" error.
