Thanks, I had looked and only found the Texas Tech ones from last year. Wonder if they'll release some different colorways on those. I'm definitely not a sneakerhead, but I'll snag some Patty stuff. Looks like some sort of sock/shoe hybrid, but IDC it says Mahomes on it.

As far as XRC vs Prizm, I don't know why one went for nearly $15k and then someone sells one for $7500 in the same month. There are fewer XRC out there so maybe less stupid sales?

Also, when I put "Mahomes 2017 Prizm PSA 10" into the eBay search right now I'm getting 26 results and most of them aren't Mahomes. Screwed up for anyone else?

Yes, I’ve been trying to buy a regular prizm 236 and when I search “2017 prizm Mahomes” I get a few defensive players and running backs, and a couple Baker prizm??? Same thing when I search for Josh Allen prizm.

before I put any sort in I found 17 PSA 10 269s, lowest price $10k.

When I sorted by price I only got 1.

I also see 3 for sale on MySlabs, not cheaper than $10k though.

Just ended the listing. I received an offer higher than 600K on Sunday from a company but we failed to make a deal since the offer was less than what I was looking for.

Was curious to see how much the pop reports have changed lately.

Here are the total PSA 10's for the big 3:

Prizm 269 - 877 PSA 10's
Optic 177 - 3168 PSA 10's
Optic 177 Holo - 598 PSA 10's
Select 103 - 427 PSA 10's
Select 103 Silver - 98 PSA 10's
Select 247 - 81 PSA 10's
Select 247 Silver - 92 PSA 10's

Prizm pop hasn't changed much at all. Neither has the Select really. Crazy how low the pops are on the Selects. I kinda wish I hadn't sold most of mine...

Since May there has been:

+11 Prizm 10s
+6 XRC 10s
+24 Select True Rookie 10s
+4 Select True Rookie Sliver 10s
+3 Select Field Level 10s
+4 Select Field Level Silver 10s

I find it interesting how the Field Level Silver pop count is about the same as the True Rookie pop count, but the Field Level base is much lower.

It's just fun to watch because of the big back and forth in the past around here about which is the better card to own.

The XRC is definitely more rare, while Prizm is the Flagship brand.

Personally, I'm a fan of the XRC, but can see the appeal of the Prizm as well.

What does "better" mean? More valuable? More necessary? All I was saying is the Prizm is the registry card and will always be in demand no matter what as long as the PSA registry is a thing. I would HOPE the XRC would be worth more than a base card, but the base Prizm (which doubles as his Silver rookie) is always going to be in demand because of the registry (and the fact that collectors have decided Prizm Silvers are important for some stupid reason.) The XRC and the Prizm shouldn't even be compared, they aren't the same thing. One is a goddamn base card and the other is a redemption card from the previous year's product and not even a real rookie. The Prizm is the best base card of his and I don't think there's really an argument to be had there. If I sound annoyed it's because I am, this conversation has been had multiple times in this very thread. Juuuuusstt wanted to discuss sports cards, as tends to happen around here.

It seems at least a couple people were interested in keeping the conversation about these two fine cards going, so if it upsets you, I apologize.

But if we want to discuss Mahomes' best base rookie card instead, I'd put the prizm well down on that list, the same way that Beckett did when they made theirs:

Huh? The list backs up what he said. The Prizm is the highest ranked non-auto on their list...
I don't know anyone that really counts autos as base cards.

Thank you for proving my point. Even Beckett would agree, that's his best base card. All the other crap above it is autographed. We could get into the semantics of "base", but I think you understood what I meant (but perhaps not.)

I wonder why he didn't put the XRC on that list? Was it because he thinks its an insert? It looks like any other base rookie card with the RC logo.

Also the Tri Color Select in his Select numbering is wrong. They are out of /149 not /199...I know this because that's the one I showed above that's mine lmao
