He's like a righty-hitting Andrew Benintendi!

Your right. It's like a mirror image. With the exception that Judge is good.

He is a Yankee and the most liked Yankee right now. See how the hobby treats Mantle/Mattingly/Jeter etc... Mattingly is not even a HOF player and his cards outperform some HOF players like Ryne Sandberg. Another World Series title and another 50 HR season will make everything take off once again.

He's like a Bo Jackson + Don Mattingly hobby hybrid on steroids. That's my take. Likely never to have huge career numbers but almost assuredly an all-time fan favorite.

The square box factory sets tend to have a lot more corner issues than the regular long box sets.

Also, BO's Black November sale of All-Star factory sets for $19.95 last November was an amazing price, glad I picked up a couple!

Judge is the reason I no longer hate the Yankees. Prior to his arrival to the majors they were my least favorite team other than the Cardinals. Now if the Cubs aren't on I love to watch the Yankees. Judge is such a likeable guy, I can't help but root for him.

I remember opening up packs of 2015 looking for Kris Bryant and was throwing Judge in the common bin.

I happily admit that I’m not a Yankees fan, but I admire the greats they have produced through the years. Judge is a great guy and I’m super happy he is healthy and swinging that hammer!

A dear friend of mine saw Mantle play many times. The other day, after Judge's second HR versus the Red Sox, he says to me, "Judge is so Mickey-ish." Obviously he didn't mean stats, but I get it— the intangibles, the flair. Donnie Baseball had that. Just a fan favorite. Same favorite Judges below...

Judge is 28 and not anything Mickey-ish that’s a huge ish...we say players like Harper at 27 is a bust but he has 8 years of good numbers behind him and Judge has one good year...besides don’t look now but Trout is never stopping...ever...Judge a great player but we all went nuts for a 27yo Gary Sanchez? Now back on the Judge train? I hope he hits a million HRs but until then he is just Judge-ish...

You may wanna get some glasses to say Harper has 8 years of good numbers, as in consistent. He had his MVP year where he looked like the second coming everyone wanted, but he’s actually been a let down, and is clubhouse problem when things don’t go as he likes. People keep pumping Harper like he’s still on a HOF pace yet to have had so many average numbers and injuries should put up red flags. I will admit the likelihood of Judge winning an MVP is remote, but it’s even farther for Harper in the future with Acuna, Soto, Bellinger etc. he could go on a tear for a month and be the Chosen One again, then pull his hamstring tying his shoelace. Judge is fun to watch and he looks like he’s always enjoying the game and the NY fanfare.

Well said. I believe that is along the lines of what my elderly friend was talking about. But on Blowout things can wind up being solely put through the myopic, reductive prism of stats. Hence why when I relayed what this old timer said, I tried to parse words finely and made sure to say he wasn't meaning in terms of statistical performance.

Just by way of general baseball conversation, it is really fascinating talking to older fans who have seen greats from the past play, get their perspective, and hear what they find similar among players and teams, etc. We can check old footage but it's just never the same as talking to someone who rooted for past players the way we do our guys in the present. Makes me wish I talked more with some of the old timers and relatives who were passionate fans and passed on.
