While I’m a Red Sox fan, I’m even more so a baseball fan... I will say he is the one Yankee that I actually looked forward to watching hit. His hits are things of beauty

I don’t follow Judge’s cards too closely, but for most players I follow the sapphire PSA10 usually prices at about flagship gold PSA10 level. Is that where his cards are setting up?

I would argue: don’t bother comparing them to Acuna, as that is a very specialized situation where the sapphire is the only SSP parallel of his “true RC” bats down from series 2.

Thanks, I went a little crazy on them back when they came out. I have a few more. Only regret is not pulling the trigger the orange when I had a chance. And the rainbow is awesome. But I agree it can sit there for that price.

I'm same as you. I like baseball, all baseball. As a Yankee fan, I picked up a Devers 1/1 before he started gaining steam last year. I like the way he plays.

NICE! I too have a regret not buying an Orange auto for my core PC: Devers. They are so rare so I share your concern another won’t come up

The only reason I would argue comparing the Judge Sapphire to Acuna Sapphire is because the Acuna Sapphire PSA 10 has a POP of 82 and the 2017 Judge Sapphire PSA 10 has a POP of 24. Am I saying this because I own a couple Judge Sapphire PSA 10’s? Of course. I am not saying they should be worth $6K like the Acuna. I just think if Judge stays healthy (and this is coming from a Mets fan) I think the Judge Sapphire PSA 10 can be worth half the price of the Acuna.

I guess the way I think of these things, is if the player is a standard series 1 or 2 inclusion, then you can usually find a comparison price point that is pretty stable player to player. That is driven by so many options for SSP cards you could buy, which causes demand for any one to be a bit more diffuse (pricing economics calls this “next best alternative”). In Acuna’s case there is essentially no alternative so all the demand gets focused on one card. But for players like Judge, Bregman, Devers, Albies, etc. who have a lot of flagship alternatives end up with that same demand being spread broadly.

He’s had one great season, followed by two injury-marred seasons—and he’s dealing with yet another significant injury.

So the reason is that he’s an injury-prone 28-year-old with one great season to his name. He basically has to start mimicking Nelson Cruz’s career from this point for his cards to be worth high dollars again.
