I just got this email too. Was there a previous announcement for this? I might have missed an email.

Likewise. I'll send a fat order on the current special just in case any specials in the near term fail to meet my needs. Too bad I don't have any more TCG to send since that is going up $2. Value Bulk is only going up $1 and most months there's a special I can take advantage of.

I don't like it, but I get it. They seem to trending toward falling behind in all facets and a price hike is one potential solution for maintaining revenue without falling behind further.

My November special that arrived 12/13 finally hit R/ID a couple days ago.

I didn't get an email about a price increase. What does it say?

Even if you only have one grader you have the QA stage. Remember the old whatif trick? They absolutely did use that stage to knock down grades. I saw it happen many times and don’t think they ever gave me a bump to a higher grade, ever.

Completely understand adding a few dollars to help them get through the backlog they currently have. I have about 17 cards for a vintage order but the bulk rate is only going up $1 so I will continue to hold them until i have a few more or there is a special I am in no rush with those.
I do have about 8-9 cards including a few in the mail from ebay that i planned to get graded for the monthly special at $17.99, If they keep the special i will get those in the mail at the end of the month. If they go away from the special i will just wait as well. Nothing is time sensitive for me currently

If they are raising prices due to a backlog, why continue to offer specials? The specials encourage more submitting. It doesn't make sense to me. But then again, PSA never makes sense. They just want more money.

I have no problem with the TCG Bulk increase since that's the main source of their backlog problems. I wish the Value Bulk stayed at $19 instead of $20. I'll be working this evening to dump everything I got (1980's stuff) for the $19 level before the increase tomorrow. I'm getting dinged this week for the new membership pricing too - I snuck in last year at the $99 level before they bumped it up to $149.

Thanks for posting the update in here, I never got an email from PSA about the price increases.

I disagree! There’s no way on earth I’d be sending a big submission right now into the hands of the 30% gem rate machine. Not till they fix whatever is causing the massive discrepancy in their own grading scale/methods. 1 gem in a 65-card order for 1 member here. Imagine sending in a big sub (still at $17-18/per card!) to keep from paying higher prices and getting stuck with a bunch of 7’s-9’s on ultra modern cards that should mostly be gems!?!? Yeah no thanks!! Good luck to you though if you decide to roll the dice!

Looking for advice. I shipped out a small order 2 weeks ago, my package was delivered but has not been scanned in the 10 business days it has been there. I shipped USPS overnight and found out that USPS had placed a bag around my package which hides the PSA barcode for submissions until the bag is opened. Anyone have any ideas how much longer it takes in a situation like this for PSA to actually open the package?

Not sure if this is the right forum thread for this, but I have 2 issues right now on a submission being processed. First, issue it my order got out of research and 2 cards got designated No Grade, No Charge. I contacted PSA about it and they said they don’t have a slab for it and they couldn’t locate a “trusted checklist.” So I replied with certs of similar cards that were slabbed, and noted the pop reports show they have graded cards from that set. They replied and ignored my point about previous slabs, and said they “need a checklist for the specific card you are attempting to have authenticated.” I replied with an image of the checklist from that set which took me approximately 5 seconds to find online. So first question, has anyone experienced anything like that?

Second issue, in the same sub images were posted and one card is clearly damaged and it wasn’t like that when I sent it to them. What’s the next step there?

Not something EXACTLY like this, but I submitted a Panini Instant card that was a Red, White, Blue to #/10. They slabbed it as a Veriscolor, which is #/5.

I reached out and told them what they had done and I would like a reslab. Their first email back was to tell me that they talked to their team and they determined they labeled it correctly.

I came back with images of a card currently for sale by Panini, showing what a RWB looked like, and how the serial number was to #/10.

They came back and agreed I was correct and accepted the CRC.

What's funny is it also took me no time at all to go to Panini's site to see I was right, but they were so arrogant, they didn't even check and told me I'M WRONG. "Experts"

I've had my orders take 2+ weeks to get scanned into their system. As long as your USPS Tracking says Delivered, I'd give it another week, then call them.

You’ll be fine. Seems like Anaheim distribution center is bombarded with packages. My package has been at the Anaheim distribution center for the past day.

Thank you for your commiseration, I’ve had plenty of submissions but never had anything take this long to scan. I hope they get to yours soon.

I’m sitting on 1/6 as Arrived and unfortunately am expecting to be another 2 weeks for any movement.

Figured this was gonna happen with all the holiday collector club specials + add’l current specials (why more while backed up?) + LA fires. Tough to be upset when real world problems are happening in the area

Curious if people typically see any quicker TA times with the $25 value service vs value bulk. The listed TA times are identical. I scrolled through past results, but didn't see enough to really gauge anything. I don't have enough to qualify for the current $25 turbo special.

Likewise on mine that arrived on 12/26. Fine for that order. Had I known they were slowing down, I would have submitted my larger order sooner. My October special that arrived 11/15 has been in grading for over a month. ETA on 2/14 and I'm skeptical about that date if it doesn't hit Assembly this week. Once that one pops, then I have a series of orders that should pop every couple weeks on average.
