Great article about Rain Man. That should be his nickname. The hitting savant.

Thanks for posting this. I heard the same sentiment from some all time great baseball players.

Can you please stop posting every time the guy just goes 3 for 4. HE HAS BAD KNEES, therefore he is hobby bad. Stop (out) bidding (me).

Looking for Andre Dawson Serial numbered cards that are his jersey number - either #8 or #10. So looking for cards like 8/8 or 08/99 or 10/250.

I'm confident the only people bidding on his cards are the degenerates in this thread.

All I read from this post is “sell ucLAkers all the Yordan PSA’s from your store in one lot for tree fiddy”...

I wish so bad there was at least 1 in a Dodgers uni...think I might need a Mouschi custom

Not to jinx it, but I bet he'll be leading the majors in AVG by like Thursday.

Totally going to bring this back up if he slumps! Kidding...

Yordan has been absolutely amazing to watch. I have enjoyed seeing everyone's cards posted here! Some good stuff.

I don't get to watch the games. But he has my attention. Does he look the same as he did in 2019 health-wise?

Looks totally normal. Double knee surgery seems to have done the trick.

I don't blame the Astros for keeping him out of the field. He's that valuable at the plate. If the NL changes their DH rule for 2022 (assuming we play ball in 2022), he'll just be a DH forever.

If he sustains his 2019 pace for a prolonged period (which he appears to be setting up to do) he could be a historic hitter.

If he can play 5 games at 1B or OF, my fantasy teams become legit!

Don't doubt at all that Yordan can play a corner OF or 1B spot fine. He is huge, but he is also a fluid athlete who moves very well for his size. Reminds me of Joey Gallo athletically, although no expectations that Yordan has the same feel for fielding or arm.

If Vladdy Jr can play 1B, Yordan will be fine.

That's what is so exciting about him. He's capable of being an absolute MONSTER with the bat.

Feels like I'm now in an echo chamber because I've been saying this for what turns out to be a long time now.

Real bold prediction you made there calling for ".300/.400/.650 with 45 HR" after a season in which he was .313/.412/.655 with a 50 HR pace

Go look how down people were on him when he got hurt and get back to me. I've been optimistic about him through it all.

This goes back to that Dusty quote from an article I posted a few pages ago as well as what's been reported in the past. Yordan's knee pain was at it's worst when he played in the field. He often had 2-3 days of pain/issues after a start in the minors.

They want him to get through this year as a DH pain free before they put him in the field again. I wonder if he may be ahead of that schedule and could see some starts later this year.

Same here....I knew that surgery was going to make him look like he takes legal steroids.

Ability to stay healthy =/ ability to hit. In his rookie year he was literally the best hitter in baseball. He was tied with Trout with a 178 wRC+. Anyone questioning his hitting talent I'd put on par with the clowns I've seen in the past week in the Tatis and Acuna threads worried about their "slumps"

I can't believe I have to have a back and forth over whether calling for Yordan to be among the best hitters in baseball after a season in which he was the best hitter was a contrarian prediction

People were never really down on his ability, just his knees and that he's only been a DH thus far.

So then the question is...

Can he field? Is he worthy of anything besides 1B or could he pull off LF?
