I actually thought it was opposite. The first one, he really toed the line between quick pitching. He takes a really small inhale at the last second before getting started with his delivery, but he never truly came set after that inhale. The second one was totally lame.

They got the step-off to second one right. Watch his upper body at the 7 second mark. He leans.

With the second one, you really can't be that close with your set after just getting called for a balk. Even the announcer said that he quick-pitched the hitter.

No prob! Great overall game by the man, regardless. He's at 3.8 total WAR for the season and moving in on 10 WAR career (baseball reference) - after playing "half capacity" most of the time. Dude just needs to be healthy for 3-4 more years as a two-way guy and he goes from freak athlete to making the baseball Mount Rushmore. It's really surreal to be watching this actually happen.

It really is bananas. I mean, I expected him to be something like "really good hitter & good enough to be a starter in MLB" or vice versa, which still would have been pretty incredible and a yearly WAR monster.

But this guy is proving to be elite at both parts of the game. My brain tells me it just can't be sustainable but if it is? His swing is pure beauty and just looks effortless. I've pulled every Ohtani card from all of my sell threads except for a base RC that I have doubles of.

Also, a PSA 10 2018 #700 Gold sold for $1,500 the other day.

It's not today, but the day is going to come when I'm not going to be able to hang on to my PSA 10 '18 #150 Gold refractor any longer. It will be bitter sweet.

When I sent in my gold 700 I figured it as a ten it might be a $100 card at some point. Well... its getting difficult for me to not to sell on BST. GL with your refractor, that is so much coin!!

Blue /150 10s are going for ~2k, so I'd probably advise you to wait. Prices are so upside down right now. Nothing is cheap but there are clear deals by contrast.

Been having similar thoughts myself. Between Tatis, Ohtani, Devers, Acuna and Soto - I don't want to sell but I've been struggling with some of the valuations.

2018/2019 was a crazy time to rip packs.

It's amazing how much Update is lagging. I just hit a BIN for an Update Refractor /250 for $225 . My first Ohtani purchase of the season, glad to scoop it.

Yeah, I don't see a scenario where I would sell it this season. Just think that my personal "I've got to sell this" price is going to arrive faster than I previously imagined.

I think people forget about the Asian market. If Ohtani is in position to either win the MVP or lead the majors in WAR he will easily roll past Acuna and Soto as the highest priced 2018 RC.

About half of his cards going for 1K+ are going to Asian buyers already. Korea, Taiwan, Japan, China order of demand. Yes, Japan is only third from what I've observed.
