Random question...Select field level silvers always going to be more valuable than the XRC?

No one knows. Depends what gets collectors hyped at that point in time. Probably safe to say there will be less Field Level Silver 10s than XRC 10s, but both are great cards and extremely limited when compared to the larger print runs we are seeing/will be seeing on a lot of NFL and NBA product. All that 2017 stuff is going to seem SP down the road when compared with later years.

Optic base or regular donruss press proof red/blue?
I’ve been shopping for a optic base for a while but recently started looking at press proof reds and blues. I think the press proofs are a little more rare. Which one do y’all suggest I buy? |

For me, if they are graded - then I'd go with the Donruss. Not graded - go with the Optic. I just don't like super thin cards and when they're slabbed I can't tell!

If you can land a gem press proof red, I would go with that. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

serious question here. If you had 50k+ to spend on a nice high end patty, what card would it be? Cant get an NT for that or a PSA 10 Contenders, so what's the next best option. Preferably one card, what would be the best one to get and hold for the most long term potential?

Prizm or Optic - just look up the last BGS Optic gold (pejc's former card - RIP) sale price on eBay.

PSA or BGS is fine. Wanting to buy the right card, not the holder. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I’d go with either a red power prizm /49 (BGS 9.5 is “only” $26-$27K) or a true RC flawless auto (card #132). Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Would it be worth it, to try and cross this as a minimum PSA 10 or would it be a waste of money? Previous owner says he never tried crossing it before. If it wouldn’t cross, I wouldn’t be too disappointed since I live in KC and I’m a big fan. How much would PSA charge me?

I actually crossed a XRC w/ similar 9.5 Gem+ subs ~2 years ago to a PSA 10 & paid all of 25 bucks, but in retrospect I got really lucky. You'd have better odds cracking it out of the BGS holder & submitting it raw. Either way, the min. you'd pay is $200 for Express if you only declared $2.5k max value, but they could upcharge you to $600 if it Gems based on the value ($10k for Walk through max declared value). You could also do a min grade requirement of 9 for which they'd be more likely crack & inspect it, but if it doesn't Gem then you're stuck having to crack & resub back to BGS & hope you get similar sub-grades whenever you get it back from those guys sometime next year... https://www.psacard.com/pricing |

Note psa doesn’t do crossovers anymore I don’t believe so you have to crack. Love the subs but l/r centering off a little. Probably not enough to keep it out of a 10 slab of rest of it is nice though.

I’ve looked at the centering on PSA 10’s on eBay and every single one is off centered. I’m guessing they are suppose to be like that.

What’s your opinion on adding insurance when I ship to PSA. I’ll package it with cardboard, bubble wrap, etc. I’m just worried about it somehow getting lost or stolen. It would be like $100 just in insurance.

For peace of mind, I would...I have a policy with Collectibles Insurance and they cover shipping to/from grading companies...

Send it registered. Cheapest and safest way. Will only cost you about $25 total with full insurance.
