I thought Cabrera grounded out from the left side of the plate but it seems either side will do.

I would rather see Stanton in the lineup than Grisham, they need to dfa him. A minor leaguer would do just as good.

What bothers me is it wouldn’t hurt anything bringing Jones up early.

It could hurt Jones. Just look at the Orioles with Holiday. No reason to sit him on the bench with the big league team for an occasional start in left field when he could be getting reps in all season in AA.

Yes but put Verdugo in center Soto in left and Stanton in right. If he gets injured it was bound to happen. Strikeout number 3 for Grisham.

Reps in double A don’t offer much preparation for the big leagues at least move him up to Triple A

That's why Boone is not doing it. He's looking long term until Dominguez gets back. Stanton gets injured because you want him playing the field now and then you are going to get Grisham playing more.

I would try to get thrown out also in a 7-2 game. I think he sees his job slippping away, single Soto.

Can’t manage scared, the job is to put the best team on the field. Anybody can get injured in any game.
