Rivian seeking an $80B valuation in an IPO filing.

Sheesh.

Nice day today with a solid 1.66% return overall. Genius Sports (GENI) lead the way with a 7% gain and it also managed to close above $20 for the first time in awhile. I am hoping this goes on a run this Fall in the first year of its NFL contract.

RIDE was backed by GM...until it wasn't.

If it isn't backed my Elon Musk, it will be an uphill battle in that sector.

Here’s my problem with EV companies not named Tesla (they’re more of a tech company anyways but that’s a different discussion). They don’t actually produce anything.

All these companies have been promising forever and nobody has actually put a vehicle on the road. Besides Proterra but they have a laughable 2% gross margin.

Tesla had an incredible first mover advantage so they’ll be fine but otherwise I don’t buy anything else.

Volvo, Oshkosh, Ford, VW, GM, etc…they’re all doing EV now and they have the established production lines and supply chains to crush these small players

This is why I don’t play the EV game. The big guys are ALSO doing it.

That Ford Lightning is nice. GM comes out with an electric YukonDenali and it’s game over.

I say this as someone who really likes the Rivian R1T. Ford just does it better.

No clue on the fundamentals, but the daily/weekly technicals on BB look amazeballs.

I haven't seen anyone flossing a blackberry scrollwheel phone since '08.

A lot of stocks are manipulated. It's one of the many wsb shill stocks, but amc and gme all seem to be holding fine off their all-time lows.

Definitely not advocating to purchase, but from what I've read, several companies have recently revised their strong bearish outlook on BB...at least for the short term.

Funny you mentioned this. I’ve been testing out a strategy with covered call premiums and this popped on my screener. I bought 100 shares on Wednesday and was able to get 3.4% in premium. I want to see how much premium I can get before the technicals turn.

Does have a great looking chart tho.

Super nice recovery. I actually expected it to break down at 9.5x (as most did), but that recent volume spike and push clearly shows someone wants this stuff.

Classic bullish retest and bounce off the 50ema.

A clear of $12.50 es muy bueno, but a clear of $15 and we're going to really see some fireworks.

Though it looks like the triangle may not resolve until late October.

Let the good times roll.

What are you using to test the strategy. We have been doing it for years and I might be able to help you in one way or another.

Not sure what there was in terms of strike price/date, but 3.4% is major premium. There must have been an insane amount of risk to the downside involved.

Fundamentals for BB are junk. However, they are forecasting that they will make money next year. I am not sure how they will with no new problems. I am also not sure what has prevented them from making money the past 5 or 6 years and what would delineate next year from this year.

That said, I don't have the stones to short it.

Sure is. He isn’t wrong.

https://twitter.com/elonmusk/status/...456651778?s=21

Ford owns a stake in Rivian so I’ll take it. The fact they haven’t delivered a vehicle yet and may have a higher valuation than Ford and GM is nuts.

Guess we will see how they do.

I'm using my own money to test the strategy haha. Kind of a learn by doing type thing.

I'm experimenting as a pure cash flow strategy.

I wrote a python scraper that pulls the option chain for all symbols with weeklies. Then I grab the ATM and the next 3 strikes and calculate how much premium I can generate if I buy 100 shares at the current price and sell the call.

The options are always weekly and need to generate a minimum of 1% premium and it has to have a good technical setup on the chart

I try to limit my risk by buying on Wednesday and reevaluating Monday morning.

Some stocks I may like and want to hold (SOFI) some I may not care about and just want to get as much juice out as possible (BB).

I'm not sure what my limit is when I sell the stock, I was thinking a 10% combined gain between call premium and stock gain but not sure.

Would love to hear your thoughts and advice as I kinda just thought of this idea on a whim and wanted to see if I could make it work. An important piece of this is the TA piece as well I'm not gonna blindly buy stock to get a high premium if I don't think the setup looks good. No point to buy 2-3% premium just to have the stock pull back more than that before exp.

I figured as much. Seems like this is yet another WSB prayer shot. My position is quite small, but still trying to navigate and learn my way around the market.

After months of consolidating BRKS looks poised to break out.

Nice big cross of the 200dema on volume.

Going to take a look at some calls today.

Excellent company. One of my very good friends is a director in the finance department. Bravo on the find. This company hung around the $30’s just about all of 2019 iirc. I gave up on it because I put the money in Thst sector to use in something else.

Same stock? I'm keeping my eye out.

https://www.tradingview.com/x/zjO8hAoZ/

I'm paying attention to that 50ema resistance. Daily stoch looking like it may be getting slightly toppy here, too...but doesn't necessarily have to be the case.

Weekly had a nice bounce off the 50 ($79.50)...if it holds, the uptrend is still very much in tact.
