Saw the other day the Mavs may be looking to acquire Jerami Grant. Still work to fit in the cap.

Maybe but there weren't hundreds of articles about Thanasis being a 2nd round pick, the GM calling him, talks about his ceiling, etc.

You can be terrible and get drafted because you’re 6’10. Being tall is infinitely more valuable.

Disagree. Bronny's potential defense against guards has as much value as anything that 6'10 stiff does.

OK...but why is he STILL in the league. We know the answer...and it is not because he is 6'10".

He is also not worthy of an NBA roster spot.

Nepotism is one thing...

Name the last time a 2nd round draft pick already had a hat ready for the team that drafted him...

He’s a 6’2 SG lol he’s not gonna be able to guard anyone

He’s never gonna play anyways so it doesn’t even matter

I love the fact that Bronny is being sold as a shorter, poor man's version of Dante Exum lol

Not sure if that's a compliment or disrespect to Exum

So........................

1. Bronny got drafted because of Daddy. Let's not kid ourselves here
2. Will it be cool for Lebron and Bronny to be on the floor together as the first Father/Son duo to play in the NBA? Absolutely. They will always be the first to do it
3. Do I think Bronny is a draft caliber player? Nope....but it doesn't matter what I think. The Lakers accepted whatever statements/noise was coming when they decided to draft him
4. Will Lebron try to leverage who he is to get Bronny more minutes? Absolutely. He's his Dad and wants his son to succeed however he can.
5. Does this make the Lakers lose fans? Probably not. If you already put up with all of Lebron's antics now, this won't affect you as a Lakers fan.

At the end of the day.................MJ is still the GOAT

Shorter, stockier guards can have value as defenders. Like Avery Bradley. The problem is they're fit at the other end if they're not good shooters.

Shockingly it isn’t even close to apples to apples

The company I work for is a family company. Our CEO is the chairman’s son. He’s also qualified

We didn’t draft him out of a pool of more qualified players because his Dad, who in this context doesn’t own the company, because we like his Dad

People are making ridiculous comparisons

This is the whole “well my company can fire person X for this reason so why not an athlete?” as if your person is the equivalent to a professional athlete. It was stupid 50 years ago and it’s still stupid today

Michael Vick is not the same as Bob from Accounting having a dog fighting situation. Sorry. It’s not

I’m agreeing with you way too much lately

As Lakers fans, we just want to see the Lakers honestly try build a respectable quality roster to compete, and perhaps get past first round of playoffs.

The owner, GM, coach and players should all do what they think is best for the Lakers going forward to next season.

Is this Bronny thing really doing what's best for the Lakers? I doubt Jerry Buss would have been down with this circus move. And I bet he would have shown LeBron the door a while ago. Sigh.
