Anyways, none of y’all watch the Cavs at all so it doesn’t really matter but the offense under JB has been bad all year.

Bad iso ball all year and the Cavs got bailed out by Mitchell in double digit games. That’s not sustainable and especially not in a series.

I had the Knicks in 6 anyways and yea after this embarrassing showing looking like a quick 5 games for NY.

What a crummy way to end game one after taking the lead late. But I’m optimistic..

Donovan Mitchell showed why you trade for him tonight. Not his best performance on offense (despite 38 and 5 rebounds and 8 assists), but he made some huge plays on defense.

Garland inexplicably didn’t take a shot for like the entire 4th it felt like. He played a solid game but need him to be more aggressive. 1st playoff game though. He’ll be ok.

Mobley was utter dog poo. He’ll be better as well though. I can’t see him having another stinker like that.

Levert and Okoro.. yikes. There’s where Garland should’ve gotten more shots.

I had Cavs in 6 and I stand by that. But I wouldn’t hate a 7 game series here.

Everyone going very slow in the playoffs (and play-in). Nets shot 55% and 50% from three and barely cracked 100.

Only 1 2nd half over since the play in began ... 1-8.

Sure, they are the higher seed and the Dubs can't win on the road. This isn't a classic Dubs dominate team. They would be really vulnerable tonight with Wiggins not having played in a long time. I think Kings take both home games to start the series.

Gut feeling.

Neither squad has played a lick of defense at any point in the year.

It's the playoffs. Ice cold starts for everyone.

(Nobody has cracked more than 30).

Possessions and pace are there. I'll hedge at half if need be (most likely).

The officials are letting a lot of contact go uncalled. Guys aren’t used to the physicality yet. These games are where you figure out who’s legit

My guess without looking at the data (I’ll do it tomorrow) is that FTr is way down across the board

It is. Will probably be the case this series since neither of these teams are physical.

My concern isn't the Warriors hitting the mark, it's Sac just having one of those nights where nothing goes down. There's going to be a million shots attempted. Neither squad has a chill mode. Trust the volume.

You’re totally right about the pace. It’s up and down like crazy now sac just has a 107.7 offensive rating right now

For reference, Sac is only down 1 and still on pace despite shooting 35.7%. They play like the globetrotters.

4th Quarter shots:

Garland: 0
Mitchell: 12

Here ball don't get you far in the playoffs. Okoro and Levert weren't on the court either.

As for Mobley, top level defensive performance shutting down Randle 1 on 1. Bottom level offensive performance getting eaten up by Robinson in the second half.

Cavs played right into the Knicks gameplan: Clog the paint making things tough on Mobley and Allen, let Okoro brick wide open 3s, and live with Mitchell taking 16 3s and making 6.

Also... I don't feel like the Knicks are a more talented team.

Cavs just need for figure out a way to beat the double team trap, really work the paint, and for the love of god, get SOMETHING out of Levert.
