I know people are going to say "Well it's Topps" but it's odd they would put a RC symbol on this when he already had a RC in Merlin 20/21 as this is a 21/22 product. I personally would not call the FF a rookie but just my opinion on it.

It's categorically not a rookie.

.. but this is Topps and Panini (comical RC's in WC Prizm) we're talking about and they prove year after year that they are completely clueless in regards to soccer.

It's pretty crazy just how little traction this product gained. I picked up a black KDB (gorgeous card) early and very glad I did because singles are virtually non-existent. Is everyone just sitting on their boxes? I'd love to pick up a nice Musiala parallel or two, but I literally haven't ever seen one.

I've also been collecting the black #/25 parallels....they're going for a lot less than I would have expected....

It’s all about wax pricing. When the product is too expensive, nobody rips. When nobody rips, singles aren’t available. When singles aren’t available, nobody collects the set.

This is an okay rip at $50. You’re still going to lose on most boxes though.

No doubt. But then it begs the question why aren't people ripping or at least selling off their boxes en masse? Its like all the product fell into a black hole. I don't believe this was one where it "sold out", but really Topps just pulled it. This is a textbook sunk cost scenerio, just rip or unload. Yes, I know logic has no place in most collectors minds.

Nobody wants to take a loss anymore. That includes whichever distributors Fanatics dumped these all on.

I’d do at least a few cases at $50-75 a box, as I’m sure many would have. Then you’ve built a following, and can have a successful release next year at a higher price.

For me, this was my favorite set to come out last year. The cards are absolutely gorgeous (especially Gold, Black and Red). I've opened my fair share of these and have hit 2 supers and 3 reds.

Hoping folks get tired of sitting on their sealed boxes and finally realize they are not going to profit on these. I will be opening a ton more if we see boxes get down to $100 per.

Thanks so much! I know this set isn't for everyone but I just fell in love with it when it came out. I'm not into this set for the flip game and to make profits.....I'm just collecting it for fun

I've just seen the Haaland Super and the Ronaldo Super Auto (on ebay).

I also haven't seen any Haaland, Messi, Ronaldo (other than the super), Neymar or De Bruyne autographs - and they are all on the checklist

I think some people that were holding these sealed are finally realizing that the box prices are not going up. Been able to pick up some boxes cheap on ebay and this little guy popped out of a box tonight....



This is the first Messi auto I've seen from this product and glad I was able to pull it for my Flashbacks collection
