Btw, totally agree with your assessment. My dad would love to see the Bears be competitive in the rest of this year's games but end up losing.

If Fields gets through this season healthy, the hype on him going into 2023 will be incredible.
My buddy Neil, who own Elite (the link I posted) is exclusive to Fields send ins. If you want to get an auto this round, you have to go through him.

Not sure when the next public signing with Justin will be. He did one at Mikes Sports N More in Lombard on July 31st.

Cool. I'm actually pretty close to Westmont. Would be great to meet JF1 and take a pic with him, but getting one of those rain pics signed would be sweet.

Thanks for the info.

Justin seems to be really continuing his tear today.

Whoever calls the Bears plays needs to be fired after that absolutely ABYSMAL final drive play calling. YOU ARE THE BEST IN THE LEAGUE RUNNING THE BALL. RUN THE BALL WITH FIELDS. You had nearly 3 minutes to get into field goal range and win the game. That is enough time to run with Fields to pick up 50 yards in 3 minutes.

YOUR RECEIVERS ARE NEVER OPEN, CANT CATCH, AND PASS BLOCKING IS WORST IN THE NFL. RUN THE DAMN BALL, YOU IDIOTS!!!!!

Once again, Bears D awed me, and not in a good way. All these high draft picks in the secondary get totally and utterly burnt and beat every. single. week!!! By bad teams too!!!! Its amazing!

Eddie Jackson is a shell of what he once was. He just sucks now. Jaylon Johnson is having his worst career year, Kyler Gordon and Jaquan Brisker are not impressive in coverage at all.

Worst of all, their front 7 has got to be the worst front 7 in the league. Linebacker #53 Morrow made a couple plays. Great. He's a NFL starter. The others are college level talents who should be on a NFL practice squad.

Claypool is irrelevant

End Rant.

Small consolation for losing to the Lions if you ask me.

Really? You don't think he continued his tear?

The kid completed 60% of his passes for 170 yards and 2 TD's. And had a rating of 100. Plus 147 yards rushing, and 2 more scores on the ground.

He had the ugly pick 6, but 4 TD's and 300+ yards of offense is a continued tear. Even if his team didn't win.

Cut and pasting this:

Fields also became the first quarterback in NFL history to rush for touchdowns of at least 60 yards in back-to-back games and the first to run for at least 140 yards in consecutive contests. In addition, he became the first player in league annals ever to run for two TDs, throw for two TDs and rush for at least 100 yards in a game.

Fields' 325 yards on the ground are the most by a quarterback in a two-game span in NFL history, topping Lamar Jackson's 268 yards Oct. 13 and 20, 2019.

Fields' 555 yards rushing over his last five games are the most by an NFL quarterback in that span in the Super Bowl era.

On Sunday, Fields became the fourth player in NFL history with a 50-yard-plus TD run and a 50-yard-plus TD pass, joining Jackson (2022), Cam Newton (2012) and Hall of Famer Ace Parker (1938).

In addition, Fields' 147 yards rushing were the most by a quarterback against the Lions, surpassing Randall Cunningham's 110 yards Nov. 11, 1986.

Fields also became the fifth player in the Super Bowl era with one rushing TD and one passing TD in four straight games, joining Kyler Murray (2020), Ryan Tannehill (2020-21), Michael Vick (2010) and Jim Hart (1968).

Fields' performance has helped the Bears become the first team in NFL history to rush for at least 225 yards in five straight games. With 2,017 yards, they are also only the second team since 1980 to rush for at least 2,000 yards in their first 10 games, joining the 2019 Ravens, who compiled 2,031.

The decade before that (1990) they took Cade in the first round. The decade before that (1980) they took Jim Harbaugh in the 1st round.

They draft a QB in the 1st round once in every decade, I dont see why that is laughable.

But I agree with you on Fields. Word out of the team is, that he likes to sulk. And thats why his coaches dont come to him on the bench after bad plays, to show him what happened on the tablet.

In fact, look at most any shot of his on the bench between plays. And he sits alone. Not saying the whole team doesn't like him. But a lot of them dont, as I hear he has a poor attitude.
So Grid, so 10 games in I still disagree with this post. I don't think he sulks, I think he just hates losing and is competitive. And we have seen him on the tablet quite a bit during games. Not sure who the source is but it seems the team rallies around him.

Also going back to the post, man there are some really back Fields takes. He is progressing right now, but man too many people were immediately writing him off.

Justin Fields, you're awesome.

Didn't want to wait for or take a chance on Panini redemptions so got these from Tyson Beck.

And now 10 games in, I disagree with it now as well. I posted that nearly 2 months ago.

Back then, he was sulking. Back then, there was the weight of the world on him, and he wasn't producing. Back then, you had all kinds of pictures and memes of him sitting alone on the bench.

His press conferences were all one tone, and he seemed defeated. Players, in private, were saying that he seemed self centered, and wasn't endearing to his teammates.

Now that he has been racking up yards, cleaning up most of those turnovers, winning player of the week honors, and rewriting the record books. He is shown high fiving other players, hugging coaches and much more alive during interviews.

Did he work on his flaws? Or did a little success snap him out of it? I cant say, but he appears like a different player in every facet right now.

Kind of makes sense. Probably the first time in his football life where he had failure. It's easy to be happy/cocky/great teammate when you are always winning and being praised. Now he needs to learn and grow as a leader and football player.

Got it, it seemed like someone was saying he was a bad teammate, but hopefully that is not the case anymore.

Fields seems to smile and laugh when he is winning games (Patriots game), he is really down when he loses. Think he is just an ultra competitive person.

Fields lost at home to the Lions. Great individual stats, but football is a team sport.

Football is a team sport and the defense lost that game. Could Fields have done more? Sure, but he is lifting that offense to 30 points a game the last 4 weeks and the team is weak outside of Fields on offense. That loss is not on Fields.

So then you admit your post was wrong?

Someone posted that "Justin seems to be really continuing his tear today"

And you said that aged like milk. Did he not continue his tear? You now say he had great stats, and that is what the other person mentioned.

No on said "Justin is going to win this game" No one said "The D is going to hold the line for Chicago"

Rodgers gets bashed for looking like he's enjoying himself with his teammates when he's losing so seems like the only reasonable option here is just don't lose.

If Greg Roman was the Bears OC, we'd all be in awe of Justin right now. As it stands I see a lot of potential upside, but this running thing (+100 yards/game) isn't ideal.

I have no idea where his career is going right now.
