The John Tyler Christopher cover is probably my favorite of the Spidey covers. He actually did some sketch cards for the Iron Man 2 set over a decade ago.

I got a “non-scan” of Savage Avengers 6 Netease even after the book went live this week. Has anyone else had this happen to them? Will shoot a message to customer service today but curious how long it takes to correct. Cool Electra cover though!

I have a blank front cover scan of a book that went live a month ago. I sent in a ticket and they said they're aware of the issue and will fix it eventually.

So for some reason most of the comics trades I am seeing on ePack are less than thrilling to me. I think I'll be locking most of them up for the better part of a year, see where this is heading. Already discouraged by the shipping costs.

Also, moral dilemma (not really). Most of the scans I am seeing have the comics appearing undamaged, but in one of my Namors there is clearly a major lower spine corner crease showing both front and back - but you don't see it unless you zoom in. Meaning if I didn't look, I could trade it with a clear conscience, but once I've looked and seen damage, I feel I must make sure to disclose it. Has anyone contacted CF customer support to see if they will replace?

One sold on Ebay for $350. The thing with variant covers is they tend to sell high when released and slowly lose value over time, unless it ends up being a key issue.

Speaking of ratio variants…. One of the most fun things about CF is to buy single copies of a bunch of potential variants and lucking into a ratio. Pulled the Panosian 1:25 Poison Ivy cover D (lower left in image below) today instead of cover C for that issue.

They mentioned in one of the News posts that you can contact customer service about returns but, I think, it has a 7 day limit. I will be scrutinizing my next package that should come any day now. I missed returning probably about 7 of my first 34 issues.

Default Separate quextion...

Does anyone know if a slabbed comic, soft or hard, can be sent by media mail? I'm still researching how to deal with shipping.
Thanks,
Vinny

I just posted 2 soft slabs as a test on eBay. I'm trying to educate/promote the uncirculated soft slab aspect of these issues. Of course, I want to find a way to get rid of my extras.
I'd appreciate any thoughts on how I present the items and how I described them.
Thanks,
Vinny

No; if "the item" has advertisements it is not eligible (comics have tons)

Thanks, not surprised but kind of thought the slab was the killer.

There's definitely some sellers that still ship that way (despite charging for First Class) but jokes on them when they have to pay Priority Two ways if caught! (I have had this happen many times when buying TBH; PO Employees are aware of what typically is sent in Geminis)

Jim Lee hardly ever disappoints!

When I was selling comics on eBay over a decade ago, I used to give a choice of Media Mail or Priority and had *zero* returns on the MM once I got past the postal clerk. Eventually I just dropped it off after hours and printed the postage at the kiosk and wrote "Media Mail" on it. Very contentious debates on the eBay message boards about whether you can send MM or not because of the ads. But since the ads aren't CURRENT on older comics, there is some wiggle room. Plus, the big companies use MM all the time to ship their catalogs, brochures, etc. - which are nothing BUT ads! Not sure why they care so much about comics.
That said, I haven't sold any comics for quite some time, so I don't know what the current atmosphere is like.

Cool info...
Some people are braver than me. I tend to think it's not worth the unknown ramifications and try and do things by the book.
Thanks,
Vinny

I hear ya! Trouble is "the book" is pretty vague on this particular topic. The DMM (Domestic Mail Manual for anyone unfamiliar) doesn't actually define "ads" IIRC and hence the need to interpret the regulation. The response you get will also vary from Postmaster to Postmaster! There is also a possible loophole if you insert a piece of sheet music in with the comics and a note quoting a particular part of the DMM. Point is that for comic books or lots under $20 or so it's nice to be able to offer Media Mail if the buyer doesn't mind waiting a few days longer AND if you as a seller are willing to refund if it doesn't arrive in a timely manner.
Maybe they've clarified it by now (but I kind of doubt it)

Default Shipping 1 UC issue...

Sold my first soft slabbed uncirculated comic today. Finally decided on basic USPS first class and charged $5.00. I bought 9.5" x 13.5" #4 Poly Bubble Mailer Self Seal Padded Shipping Envelopes at $1 each and used cardboard I save from the shipments to me from the ePack service. One fits fine in between 2 cardboards and it was 8 ounces. Postage was $4.27 to KY from NY. Lost a little but feels secure.
Best to All,
Vinny

I haven’t done it yet, but in this thread over in nonsports a guy has set up a store to buy and sell stuff off of ePack. If you are interested in selling comics off of CF, this might be a better way to move comics until ePack comes up with their own buy/sell feature for comics.

I saw that earlier but I think it’s like MySlabs, mostly card people shopping. If they promote comics as well it would be nice. For market size I think eBay with it’s fees is still my option.
Someone mentioned Facebook groups. If anyone knows a trustworthy one, please let me know.

Is there anything special about the X Terminators #1 Inhyuk Lee variant? I'm getting what seems like some crazy offers on Epack, up to 15 comics for it.

It’s the 1:25 ratio. The label mentions it being a dealer incentive. I got mine for a grandeur coin and traded it for another 1:25 (the Grodd above). Depending on the 15 comics you might get stuck with them… like if the trade involves Midnight Suns 1 commons you can’t move them since there are so many of them on ePack. Same with a lot of highly ordered comics.

So better to do a 1:1 for something you like from your WL unless you like the 15 comics and want to keep them and not flip.

I should have realized this earlier. Bigger comic sellers are hunting the variants, like us, and then basically dumping the regular covers. Their budgets are much bigger than mine.
This has happened with the Topps Now cards where people buy 40 $4 copies hoping to get a /1, /5, /10, etc parallel. Then the $4 cards are dumped for $2.
I'm gonna try to streamline my buying and hope to get lucky with controlled purchases. I'll setup auctions one of these days to get rid of my early extras. I admit to going overboard myself trying for variants.
Thinking out loud,
Vinny
PS: My last shipment of about 16 comics was excellent with no bent corners or problems. I still hope "Uncirculated" catches on.
