Depends on where you live. I had 3 orders with Draft Sapphire - 2 Smart Post and 1 2 Day. Both Smart Post shipments were received before they even shipped the two day

I'm surprised Topps was technologically able to pull this off, limiting the raffle to non-MC members.
Kudos to them for the move.

As an MC member, I would have loved to have another shot for 2 more boxes, but I think 3 box guaranteed is good enough of an advantage when compared to "chance at" 2 boxes.

This still doesn't solve the problem if someone has multiple accounts and entering multiple raffles, but I can see that Topps is at least trying.

Big thanks for pointing out the raffle, I wouldn't have thought to look there otherwise. Here's hoping I can get through for a couple of boxes, made a burner account for my wife just in case as well. Hopefully there's not thousands of bot accounts cluttering this up either.

Got home at 1:30 from my part-time job.

Did a few things; checked my email and read the Topps email.

Went to the Topps website; verified I wasn't a BOT and made my purchase.

Easiest purchase from Topps I have ever experienced.

Is this a joke? You realize bots will have hundreds or thousands accounts EACH! With this release you may still have a decent chance because there are so many boxes. But the ones like any Sapphire that are under 15k boxes you will have maybe a 10% chance. I'll battle the bots all day versus having a 10% chance on a raffle. This is what I feared happening.

Why not just go to the reverse dutch auction? Then normal people can buy as many boxes as they want at a price they are comfortable with and it partially eliminates the bots.

The thing I wish they would raffle is the Topps Project artist proofs. There is a 0% chance every day at those for a normal person. I'd take the needle in a haystack chance at those over 0% chance.

I think the raffle will be better in the long run. I am just grateful of my MC Membership and don't have to deal with that

Using my own guesstimates, looks like there should be ~$75/box in value. Botbois going to do a lot of work registering for a raffle where the payoff is probably $75 in profit selling sealed.

IDK man, looks like they're selling from $120-200. I could see $100 for a few months, unless they get popular with breakers

Going up against the bots there is not a single Topps online release I've been shut out on. With the raffle system going forward I think the average non bot user will be lucky to get picked to be in on 1 out of 5 releases. How is that better in the long run?

It gives Topps the opportunity to vet buyers. If those bots all use the same IP or a know VPN IP address, they could be weeded out. I'm sure there's other things they could look for as well

Three boxes have sold for $120 each, right? Bunch of BINs at $175obo. 3-box lot for $400, etc. Get two boxes, sell for $240 = $209 after fees, $5 to ship, roughly $62/box investment after tax, left with $80. I just don't see group breakers being overly interested in boxes with one refractor and a 1:6 chance at an auto.

How about shipping 40 boxes of a 1 per account/household box product to the same address? That didn't stop them from fulfilling that guys Sapphire box orders that are listed on ebay. Pretty clear sign of a bot yet they still ship him all the boxes.

True, may end up being like Bowman Heritage BUT $80 is pretty great for minimal work on ~$180 though.

Doesn't matter to me, I think I'm ripping this one unless something crazy happens.

I’m guessing they won’t do it, but seems to me they could run a query on address and delete all accounts where there are multiple accounts with the same address.

Do it 15 minutes before product goes on sale

I'm also opening all of mine, and I loved Bowman Heritage lol. Not turning my nose up at free money either, just saying I don't think this is a Sapphire situation.

If I can't get more from Topps tomorrow, I'll go to the secondary market but not particularly interested at $125/box so I'm out of luck at the moment.

Yeah so delete all accounts on a household of say 2-4 people with accounts that are all normal people/non bot users that are trying to get the product legitimately. That makes sense. Believe it or not, not all buyers of sports cards are single men that live by themselves.
