Agreed. I think the non auto refractors from chrome are some of the more underrated cards this year. Wasn’t a huge fan of photos used across a lot of products on auto cards, but I love the Flagship photo in colored refractor version.

You don’t really need 2 all to yourself do you? 😉

I know, I know... just saying I went over them with a Lupe and don't know what they saw. I'm new to the grading thing and am trying to learn. While the sub grades are a start, would it be too hard to include basic short hand notes from the grader? As basic as upper right crnr, middle surface, etc. If they used a voice to text/word app it wouldn't even take them more time...just vocalize what they see and are assessing instead of internalizing it.

If at any point you are thinking you'll flip these, you might want to consider crossing those with PSA. That red auto in a PSA 10 slab probably is worth anywhere from 30-100% more than a BGS gem.

The notes thing, that's not going to happen. There is an amount of subjectivity in grading that will never go away and it would make the grading more susceptible to scrutiny. Keep in mind, Beckett 10s are pretty darn rare (for 99.5% of us) and even though you didn't see anything doesn't mean the card is flawless. I've graded A LOT of cards. I have a pretty good grasp on what's a BGS 9.5 or a PSA 10, but I would never say a card is, without a doubt, a BGS 10.

Nice one in last week, wanted an Eloy/Frank dual for a while and decided this was the coolest one vs five star and co-signers

They would never do that (though they should). That would be too objective and then the graders would be held accountable for everything they graded.

i actually hadn't seen the factory set variation cards before. Very nice cards and have the one attribute that I think is an absolute must for Eloy RC's. He is wearing his signature red batting gloves. I strongly prefer his Bowman Chrome RC over all others because it is his only RC where he is wearing the red batting gloves (not counting Tribute, Triple Threads etc. types of releases). Does anyone else think this matters?

What exactly are you dissapointed in? All 3 cards are true gem's with 10 auto's. Unless your name is Joe and you expect black labels, these are killer grades.

If you do a minimum grade and your card doesn't qualify, then they will tell you generally what area caused the card to fail. But it's just them circling the area the issue was and that's it. Not going to get more specific than that.
