The parade was miserably wet. At one point it stopped raining and the hourly claimed it would be OK for 2 hours around the parade start. I set up the video camera and about 20 minutes before the parade start, the heavens open up so I took it back down and out it away. The parade started 20 minutes late because they thought delaying it an hour would get better weather but then they realized nothing was going to be better and started it up. A lot of departments from our county didn't even show up. We skipped the games afterwards and went back to the station.

I thought of you Josie as I had inadvertently parked and setup in the driveway to a homeless shelter. About an hour before the parade started, a woman in her twenties on crutches came down from it and started talking to me.

FT, it sounds like your son survived the parade without whining like the Boo kids would have.

I was on my feet for 30-40 minutes at the grocery store earlier. I was wiped out after that. The good news is that I did not get dizzy like I did at work on Monday. When I reached out to my store manager about working a couple of 2-3 hour shifts to build up my stamina after I see the doc on Wednesday, he said to come on in whenever I wanted and they would not rely on me for closing management duties. I am antsy and ready to get back to work. Another case of "the spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak".
