Luka’s color blast sold at $24k past weekend at Goldin, what is everyone’s view in this?

I think it’s one of the best looking insert but 24k is a lot of money. Does it matter if it is non RC/Auto?

Rare Luka stuff has remained steady/shown modest increases.

Rare Luka RCs seem to increase more, IMO.

I actually think the 2019-20 Luka CB is his best looking insert. If that was a RC, I could see it being 6 figures.

Over priced lol, I can think of a few actual Luka rookies that I would rather have for example a 2018-19 optic contenders blue auto /99 far and above some second year insert.

I'd pay 10k for the color blast it really is a beautiful card. 24k seems a bit excessive for a non rookie.

Pop 8, whoever paid it must be a Doncic collector because that is way excessive. For 24K, I would buy multiples of his cheap autograph rookie cards.

My problem with the CB is people are treating the set like it’s Jambalaya. Luka will probably have 6+ CBs before Panini is done with the license.

seriously... I saw his Noir Spotlight Sig (RC) go for $6400 the other day. There's also a sweet looking 3 color patch auto for $7200. I think I would rather have bought both of those, and a Contenders Optic auto, and have a few grand leftover.

I don't collect Luka but there's a lot of better ways to allocate that money (at least, right now).

The first set will always carry a premium. Look at first year Kaboom prices compared to now.

There were also four different versions of Jambalayas made over the years; five if you count the E-Xceptional set from 1999.

Color Blasts have a really low print run too so once they get tucked away, they won't pop up very often. Everyone talking about random Optic Contenders autos they'd rather have but those will be sold far more often than his first Color Blast, regardless of how many more versions they make.

Without a doubt... For me a very easy decision. I traded away two Luka impeccable rpa (both bgs 9.5/10) in recent trades. Combined I received approximately 24-25k in trade value. If I owned a color blast I would swap it for those two cards without hesitation.

I sold mine last year and would do it again to get a nice package of Luka RCs/autos plus some cash.

Random optic contenders autos lol? Atleast it's a rookie and I personally was referring to the blue #/99, color match and wayyyyyy better then some horizontal 2nd year insert

I'm sure some here had eyes on the raw blue crusade that ended without hitting reserve. Weird auction.. thinking the reserve is probably like 1500. No feedback, no sales. Poor quality pictures.
