I joke that we should just play 1st to score 10 wins. Even if the visiting team scores 10 in the top of the 1st, just call the game.

I don't mind the baseball games, I can work those every night. The softball is like watching grass grow in the desert. The girls don't want to be there, we had a girl last night stick her hand out to catch a pitch while she was batting. She started going to 1st and the umpire told her to come back. Parents were yelling it hit her, it hit her. The umpire calmly looked at them and said she cannot try to catch a pitch and then say it hit her. Well, then we were all cheating. We cheated for not calling the game with the visiting team winning, we cheated by calling the game when the home team took the lead after time expired.

One lady said her daughter is never playing with us again. I was in 1 of those moods after that game so I told her "thank you, please convince some of the other parents to do the same next year."

I just got the quote back on the helmets I sent off. 150 total helmets, $6,120.00. $40.80 a helmet. These companies have found a way to make money no matter what! Don't send the helmets off, they aren't covered by warranty if a kid gets hurt, they can throw any helmet out that doesn't fit their standards therefore making you buy new helmets. So basically, they can do what they want.

Seems like there should be a 3rd party doing the reconditioning instead of the manufacturers.

We charge $30-50 per kid to play since we are a government entity, so we are losing money off the bat. Throw in the jersey that they get to keep, other equipment they get to use, and various costs during the season and I bet we lose north of $100 per kid.
