Shohei has turned on the jets in this 50/50 quest over the last few weeks. It seems to me he is targeting it, and working on attaining it. I don't think the steals will be an issue, he gets on base enough to make it happen he just has to GO. The question mark is the HRs - will pitchers pitch to him enough and can he keep barreling enough pitches as the clock ticks down? So far so good.

Unlike when he was on the Angels, Shohei has great lineup protection now so he gets way less IBBs

Dropped this card off (TCA Red Refractor /25) at the PSA booth at the Burbank Card Show last weekend along with a couple other Ohtani cards



Just saw this pop up on my PSA order screen:

FACTORY MIS-PRINT, NO GRADE, NO CHARGE


So much for getting this placed in a PSA slab. PSA has managed to grade other red refractor errors of Ohtani's numbered /25 for 2018 Topps Chrome but for whatever reason they won't grade this one. Ah well, guess she'll just stay naked because Beckett is just not an option I want to explore.

Will pick up my orders next weekend at the Long Beach Expo. I'll take it around the show and see what value I can get in trades.
