“Lousiana” (delete 1st “i”)
MacDonalds
Walmarts
Penneys (No JC and add an s)
Even heard a few Justin Hebert (as in Bobby but not Herbert)

And we wonder we are are close to last in education

I currently live in Louisiana but I’m from the Midwest near St. Louis and two saying I hate here are buggy instead of shopping cart and book sack instead of backpack

I am well acquainted. My wife teaches 1st grade. She sends out spelling lists snd hand to God she will get some parents write her notes that are misspelled and some parents say “I can’t read some of these words to my kid”. 1st grade words.

Also happens to teach in one of the Meth capitals of our state.

Yep lol, exactly. Everybody (man, woman, some other pronoun, child, group of people, singular) --> it's all "y'all" to me when I want to keep it brief and safe.

True story -

I grew up in the midwest, and it's fairly common to address a large generic group of people as "guys" as in "hey guys, how is everyone?"

I spent a few years on the east coast for my job awhile back, and I gave a presentation during a meeting. I ended it by saying, "thanks guys" not even thinking about it. And I kid you not, one of the feedback I received afterwards was to not address everyone as "guys" as this might be offensive to the women who are present.

Fast forward a few weeks, and I had to give another presentation. At the end, I almost slipped up again (I mean, I grew up saying it), but I caught myself and said, "thanks gggirls and guys." LOL

I again received some feedback, this time advising not to say "girls" as this might also be offensive to women (since they should be addressed as adults).

Whew.

That's about the time I switched to "y'all." Might make me sound like a hick in a professional setting, but I'd rather avoid the headaches.

Local Walmart had plenty of Topps update, I passed on blasters, bought 2 hangers, bunch of rookie debuts, the highlight was an Adell short print.
Also, a ton of Chronicles (stunned, right?), Bowman Platinum, Archives blasters, Absolute football packs.
CS worker said the rep hadn't restocked yet. Not sure what else would be coming out (if he stocks on Monday).
