This person just wanted in penny sleeves and top loaders which I was doing anyway. I was going to block them but I didn't and they ended up buying another card a few days later

Usually those are often indicators of a PITA buyer. Same for those who ask multiple questions or want very detailed pics of sub 5.00 cards

I shipped out a bunch of ESEs on the week of 2/20...initial scan in, but no tracking updates since then at all.

Normally, not an issue but had several buyers reach out already because the cards haven't been delivered (ETA was last week).

That's a similar time frame to when I'm getting messages from.

I am getting the same thing. Even some people claiming non-delivery on items that are showing delivered.

Same here - Had a bunch between 2/7 & 2/9. Most ended up being delivered early last week.

Now dealing with another batch that first were scanned between 2/21 & 2/23. Many of them did get a scan Friday 3/3 and see a couple hit close to the destination city today.

I probably send out between 100-200 of these a week so I'm definitely not proactively checking on delivery of these. Have better things to do. It's just incredibly frustrating because I know they will get delivered eventually. It's just trying to answer everyone's questions and responding to the eBay cases that get opened. Thankfully most buyers have been understanding.

You should be safe with those once you file the insurance claim. What sucks is that these ebay standard envelope are easy to identify(especially since it says it on the envelope). Once a postal employee knows that they are used for sports cards, I would expect a shady postman that knows the delivery scan was already made to pocket these from time to time. I wish these labels were more discrete and not easily identifiable.

Since ESE has come into being over the last 2 plus years, I have noticed a lot of buyers buy say 7 bowman draft paper cards of a player and are willing to pay the shipping of 75 cents rather than just buy 10 cards and get the free shipping and bigger discount. TO me it is a win to sell just 7, because I will ship them in an envelope at $1.08 rather than 10 in a bubble mailer with tracking due to the thickness.

I am not complaining, but it just seems odd.

Glad I read this to know that the uploaded "delivered" can be wrong most of the time. I have two coming to me that both say delivered to my zip code last friday. one showed up today, and I guess I'll wait a bit to see when the other one shows up.

I’m sure it’s been posted in this thread, I’ll apologize in advance, but anyone have a link to the best deal on rigid envelopes you use?

Rigid envelopes are not recommended. The package has to be non rigid to qualify

Standard envelopes work best

This!
I have to go to different post offices...had to file a police report, after a pattern developed.
I never understand when some guys make custom labels, bubble mailers, packing tape etc....I want my packages as discreet as possible!

I think I've mentioned this a few times in this thread, but I use a 6 3/4 security envelope with a toploaded card taped to a thin piece of cardboard inside for protection for my ESEs and I've had 1 instance where a buyer reached out (with picture proof) that postage was due on their shipment.

I'd definitely go regular envelope over the rigid envelopes eBay suggests.

ja590980 (7) filed a chargeback on an ESE item. My options are;

-Challenge dispute by providing proof of delivery
-Accept dispute and eBay will deduct the dispute amount from your funds

Tracking stalled out in Phoenix, so no delivery. After speaking with chat they said I could file a PIP claim, but I'm still skeptical.

My question; is there anybody who would challenge this?

The kicker is you are going to likely be slapped with a 25.00 fee. Shouldn't be an issue filing the PIP on this.

Why challenge it? I don't understand. If tracking stopped, issue the refund then file the claim. You will be reimbursed within a day or two. Block the guys and move on if you think he is lying.

Also, how are you providing proof of delivery if tracking stalled in Phoenix with no delivery?

The Phoenix/Tucson area is where ESE shipments go to die. Tracking frequently ends at the "Out For Delivery" scan. Luckily for me I have had no problems with non-receipt complaints from that area, received positive feedback from many even without the final "Delivered" scan. There are a couple of areas like that.....Florida has a couple of cities where tracking ends with no "Delivered" scan, but again, no customer complaints so far.
