For newer collectors has the 2018 bowman autos (pitching & batting) basically gotten out of reach? The base is somewhere in the 8k - 10k range

Something like that just off the top of my head, there's probably more brands I missed.

I'm probably in the minority here but I've always felt the 2018 Bowman issues of Ohtani are overpriced, both the autos and the non-auto batting chromes.

When I picked up an Ohtani rookie auto back in 2022 I went with the Finest which was like half the price of a base bowman chrome auto. I'm pretty happy with that choice.

I feel like people are treating it like a 1st BCA just because he didn't have prospect cards and that just doesn't make any sense to me.

I think that’s true. The Topps finest is really nice. Can you post a picture of yours? I love seeing everyone’s Ohtani collection

Heritage high ROA demand is higher than Heritage low lately. People like the bat on shoulder image more, despite it being second. Both wonderful cards.

100% bat on shoulder image is iconic. Not picking one up early is one of my biggest collecting regrets. Love that card.
