That's a good idea for those departments who don't wish to pull apparatus out for photos.

When we were going through PG County a few weeks ago, the one station (which is all career, no vollies) claimed you needed to get permission from the Prince Georges County Fire Department Press Information Officer to take photos of their fire trucks.

I've had tons of friends take photos at other stations of theirs with no such thing. Just admit that you don't want to pull the rigs out.
