If they reached out via message, I'd explain how ESE works and kindly ask them to give an additional week for the item to show up. If they opened a case, I would just refund and set a reminder 30 days out to submit your PIP claim. |

Quick question. Should I be upset if a seller charges me $5.25 for "first class" shipping and mail the package out using esu? I've had this happen several times and feel like I should say something.

We have had this one posted before and it really depends how the seller has the shipping & Handling set. If you could post the sellers id so we can check them out and see how they have their shipping worded. For me anything over $3.99 I would be expecting and bubble mailer with tracking , but i would ask or read sellers s/h and full description first. |

Saying something g though you have to watch what you say. Had a case here a few weeks ago where the buyer ended up being just as wrong as the seller due to his choice of words. Did not help that listing was marked as standard shipping either Last edited by shrevecity; 02-25-2023 at 04:57 PM. |

Where can I find the specifics on ESE? I have a card that shows delivered, but only to the zip code. I believe it can happen where this is the case, but the card isn't actually delivered just yet. I see references above to "giving it a few days". Where can I point this buyer to in order to explain?

You cannot. Buyer just needs to be patient. I had a buyer ask me this yesterday. I just ignored and buyer said it showed up today. Seems harsh , but they need to know and understand how ESE works and if you are like me and offer an upgrade to FC with tracking in bbl mailer it is on them to choose. |

Does ESE work from US to Canada? Assuming it does since ebay is allowing an offer to be made.

It's kind of frustrating that eBay is pretty much directing buyers to open claims instead of contacting the seller first to ask about items. I had three different item not received cases open today on cards I shipped last week.
Last week we had three days locally where the post office was not in operation, so all of them saw at least a 2-3 day delay before even hitting the local sort and my experience has been that when USPS falls behind the scans don't show up as often, which makes the uninitiated wonder.

I think at two weeks you've still got a pretty good shot at delivery, but at three weeks it goes to practically nil. That kind of sucks, but not really. You just take the extra minute to file a claim and are made whole.

I'm already at three days handling time and to be honest it's more about people who don't understand the ESE they select and are being impatient.

I hope it's true, but based on the eBay track record I won't hold my breath.
I think the lack of patience is what annoys me the most. Quote:

How many cards in top loaders/card savers can you safely ship at the lowest ESE rate at 1 oz and not have issues with postage? 1 ? I'm selling a lot of cheap cards with free shipping and want to know what I can realistically combine into one envelope without having an issue

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MO8zCVITRTI&t=9s you can also get the wider envelopes and do 2 large card savers in it with say 4 paper or 3 chrome in each card saver up to the 3 ounces. |

I will max at 2 cards for 1 oz.
I jump to 3 oz. at three cards and can ship as many as 10-11 at the 3 oz. level. In the last six months - only 9 claims in 7,000 card shipped and over half ended up being delivered. I've only had to refund 4 times in that time span. Quote:

When I sell two cards, I use two top loaders and ship 2 oz. When I sell more than two cards, I use two top loaders and sandwich any remaining cards between the two cards in top loaders and place them all in a team bag. I have sold up to ten cards this way while selecting two cards. I pay for 2 oz in this situation too. I do have a scale that use to ensure that I provide the proper postage but have not sold more than 10 cards at once so I do not know when I would have to pay for 3 oz. I have only been selling a little over a year but I have never had a card or cards returned due to insufficient postage or because of damage to the cards. |

Thanks for the advice from everyone. I do worry about shipping more then one card in the same top loader or not top loading all cards. I've gotten cards like that they I bought and no big deal but I feel like most people expect each card in it's own top loaders. There are picky people on the low end. I even had one guy buy a card for 1.50 free shipping and then send me a message on how he wanted the card packed.
