I had no idea that Ohtani is the one deciding where he hits in the line up.

Also had no idea that Mookie Betts and Freddie Freeman aren't protection.

At that price I would probably personally purchase something else but I have specific collecting desires.

Yeah I’m seeing different responses on either batting or pitching.

The bowman chrome I know is seems to be the big one as is the Topps Chrome. But Ohtani has so many rookie auto options.

I’m a flagship variation guy so my responses have a little bias in them haha. I like the hand on helmet and the pitching ssp from update.

I also like the black refractor topps in at least a 9, since their condition sensitive I think 9’s are fine and will hold value pretty well.

Lastly the Independence Day since it’s such an iconic color way.

If I had a 6k budget I could probably pull off a 9 in the hand on helmet, and a 10 on the pitching variation. Or both the Indy and the black in a PSA 9

And I prefer the color way cards from series 1 since that came out before update.

It’s baseball cards though man everyone has a different take on everything, we’re very nit picky, and we’re different from other hobby collectors lol.

Which is why there is no wrong or right answer when it comes to collect baseball

I snagged two on my way out today after getting some groceries and one of them had not one but two fat packs of 2018 Topps Opening Day.

It’s not a favorite. I’m guessing a PSA 10 TT is in the $6-7.5k ballpark? I’d take that money and buy whatever Topps Chrome auto you can get.
