OFFICIAL Blowout Redrafter's Dynasty League Thread

Updated my trading block. Players not listed as untouchable are available as well, just no guys I'm currently shopping

Gonna look back at my trades from this offseason and see what I think of them now, having had some time to process. Some of these included draft picks/minor leaguers, but I'll ignore them for now unless I remember them off the top of my head as I don't wanna look back and dig around for them

Traded Charlie Blackmon, received Tanner Roark, Randall Grichuk
Maybe shoulda gone for higher quality in return for Blackmon, but nobody was offering much, and I needed to get some pitching. Helped set me up for a few trades farther down the road too, so I'm alright with this decision

Traded Jose Abreu, Miguel Sano, Wade Davis, Gerrit Cole, received Jonathan Villar, Jason Heyward, Madison Bumgarner
Ah yes, the big one. Gave up a lot, but got a lot. I think the loss of Abreu hurts the most, as I don't have a solid 1B right now. But, Sano and Cole are both pretty risky players, so I'm happy I was able to get a perennial top 3 SP for them. I could definitely use Davis back too, but I'll survive. Villar will help out a ton as a lot of my players are changing positions this season and he'll be able to play just about anywhere in the infield. Overall, tough to say who wins right now. Sano could explode, or he could always be a 25+ HR, 200+ K guy. Cole could bounce back and be a top 10 pitcher, or he could continue to sufer from injuries. Abreu could bounce back to a .300/30/100 avg/HR/RBI guy, or he could continue to age. I gave up a lot of potential talent, but I think my side is much safer. Add in that I got one of the best SPs to own in a dynasty league, and I'm still content

Traded Collin McHugh, received Adam Eaton
Definitely won this one. I would actually go on to trade Eaton later this offseason and trade back for McHugh, but still kinda surprised this one was offered

Traded Todd Frazier, received Starling Marte, 1st overall draft pick
I remember the pick with this one. I like Frazier as a player, but he's so streaky in fantasy. Marte is a beast when healthy, so hopefully he'll stay on the field this year. I'm pretty happy with having 2 of the top 3 picks as well, so I'd do this deal again

Traded Adam Eaton, Michael Brantley, Tanner Roark for JD Martinez, Jake Odorizzi, Jose Berrios
Finally got some SP depth on this one. Eaton and Roark are good players, and so is Brantley when healthy, but I'm still not sure if he'll ever fully return from his injury. I like Odorizzi a bunch, Martinez is going to be a beast now that he's healthy again, and Berrios is a lottery ticket type guy for me. He has to be better than he was last year, only question is how much better. I'd do this deal again as it gave me some SP depth and traded off a very risky asset in Brantley

Traded Jim Johnson, Alex Cobb, received Albert Pujols
This was before we knew he'd miss the first part of the season, so a little bit questionable here. It's a fairly lateral move as well, so looking back at this one, I'm not sure what to think of it. It's not bad, as neither Johnson or Cobb are huge assets, but Pujols will have to recover from surgery plus he's getting older. So I don't have any huge regrets for this one, but it's kinda eh

Traded Jason Heyward, received Ryon Healy
Heyward will be much better this year than he was last year, and the Cubs lineup will help a lot, but I didn't need Heyward as like a 5th OFer at the time, and could use a high potential guy at 3B. I'd probably do this deal again, even without knowing if I got the better side of the deal or not yet

Traded Hunter Renfroe, received Kevin Gausman
Gausman has been great at times. Renfroe is looking like he'll have a ton of power. However, my OF was pretty set at the time still and didn't really have space for Renfroe, and Gausman is a little bit more solidified in the MLB already. Maybe coulda gotten more if I held Renfroe for longer and let the hype grow, but I'm alright with this one still

Traded Kole Calhoun, received Collin McHugh, Jharel Cotton
Moved a solid OF asset to get some pitching depth. Traded down a bit in quality, but I needed SP quantity, so it's a solid deal both ways. Hopefully Cotton continues to impress and McHugh picks up where he left off last season (had a great 2nd half). I sent the best player in this deal, but because of how my team was set up at the time, still happy with this one

Nice Dynasty. I personally like the last 2 years better than this year, but prices on this year's edition are pretty low so those will probably be the ones I pick up first. A Sano ended just out of my range tonight (which is probably for the best right now anyways)

The cards are better looking in person than I thought they'd be, but I'd agree with you. I didn't really have a choice though as this is the first Dynasty set in which Sale had a card.

Merry Christmas to those who celebrate it! I've made some good friends in this league and am thankful for all the fun it has provided me the past few years.
