Actually ratings have not been that bad. A LOT better than when Seth was champion. That's for sure.

Some random observations during the PPV:

Enzo & Cass / The New Day / Vaudevillains / The Club (Prediction: Vaudevillains)
Woods mentions The Elite. Weird ending - New Day does finisher on Anderson, then pins English. I expected any team besides The New Day to win. Don't know where they all go from here.

Baron Corbin / Dolph Ziggler (Prediciton: Corbin)
Ziggler botches the spot off the steps. Slow paced match, picks up steam at the end. Corbin wins.

Charlotte & Dana Brooke / Becky Lynch & Natayla (Prediction: Becky & Naty)
"we want Sasha" chant starts almost immediately. Charlotte & Dana win after some heel tactics. Good heel turn by Naty, WWE was going out of their way to make her a loser. Heat for Naty, sympathy for Becky. Good move.

Sheamus / Apollo Crews (Prediction: Crews)
Sheamus has a pretty sweet beard. It's a good look for an eventual face turn, assuming he gets rid of the mohawk. Crews wins as Sheamus argues the ref's count. That means this feud continues.

John Cena / AJ Styles (Prediciton: Styles)
Great match, but it was absolutely killed with the finish. This PPV really put over the Magic Killer as a finish, both times it was used, it finished the match. At least Owens beat Cena clean. Styles did not. The announce team is still teasing that Styles isn't completely calling all the shots of The Club. If this is part of the narative, they are already highlighting the potential fracture point of this group., ie, Styles is not the real leader.

MITB Ladder Match - Jericho / Cesaro / Zayn / DelRio / Owens / Ambrose (Prediction: Owens)
Good match. A couple of great spots. ADR looked surprisingly solid.
Ambrose wins. IMO, this isn't good. I'm guessing this sets up the Shield triple threat that everyone but me has been waiting for, at Summerslam.
This should have gone to Owens.

Rusev / Titus O'Neil (Prediction: DQ or countout)
Titus came out to crickets. Don't know why he has a title shot. I think this should have switched spots with Sheamus/Crews. Rusev wins clean. Hopefully this feud is over.

Seth Rollins / Roman Reigns (Prediction: Reigns)
So Rollins is the heel, huh? Wouldn't have known based on those entrance reactions. I'm not liking how many times the announce crew is bringing up The Authority. Seth seems out of character. This match seems slower and more like a power match than Rollins' previous matches.
Rollins wins??!? Something isn't right.
Okay, so Ambrose cashes in and in the least believable cash in ever, Ambrose wins.

I honestly don't get it. With all the potential challengers for the belt, NONE of them sound intriguing:
Ambrose / Reigns . Nope
Ambrose / Rollins. Done to death, this would be their 3rd feud in 2 years.
Ambrose / Lesnar or Cena or Orton or Wyatt or Owens. No thanks.
Ambrose / Styles. No.
Ambrose / Balor or Samoa Joe or another NXT call-up. Please no.
Other than the Shield triple threat, which is 1 year too late, I don't get where they go from here.

I 100% agree with this. Between Reigns and Ambrose, I'd rather have Reigns as the current champ.

In my opinion he earned it, I like his character, but it's not a title holding character. He's better ruining peoples dreams, then making his own come true.

Other than that stupid rebound clothesline, I like Dean's work in the ring, but it's his character that bugs me. For all the talk about "DEAN AMBROSE IS AN UPREDICTABLE LUNATIC MAGGLE! WHAT IS THIS MANIAC GONNA DO NEXT?!" he's a *very* predictable one note character. But that's a problem with WWE writing in general, they love to tell you what a character is, not show you.

Well all 3 options for the World Title are awful atm. Ambrose, Rollins, Reigns? All bore me honestly. And the whole "Oh wow its all the members of The Shield" Who gives a crap. lol The Shield was always overhyped and none of them should be near the World Title in my opinion. Rollins reign was one of the most boring and forgettable in the history of WWE.

I'm just not an ambrose fan at all. I think he is about as awful as they come. Everything looks really annoying and terrible. He doesn't do a good job ever. Even roman is probably better than dean. lol

Seth is beyond both of them... I expect dean to have the title for all of maybe 2 PPV's?

dean DID wrestle as a NOBODY for TNA. And dean DOES Suck completely as a wrestler. always has the dumbest looks. that stupid clothesline from the ropes thing he does always looks terrible and he simply cannot wrestle. Probably the absolute most overrated guy out there.

Really have no clue what they are going to do with Battleground being 5-6 days after the draft.

Is Battleground a Raw PPV? A Smackdown PPV?
Does that not come into play until AFTER Battleground and SummerSlam?

Does anyone else get the impression that Ambrose winning MITB and cashing in on the same night was a case of WWE still not knowing what they're doing with the roster split, so they just wanted to get MITB out of play entirely before the draft?
