Cool thanks for the list...I'm going to have to check out what I have/don't have....

With your findings, is there anyone that exists on a "sticker" auto that didn't sign "on card"? I'm not talking about cuts...screw cuts....

I'd have to see that provenance. Even if the photo came from his estate it still looks like someone added the name to identify who was in the photo. It's not a signature. Maybe he wrote his name on there, but maybe not.

I've been looking around online and there are Andy Cooper signatures out there but I couldn't find any other examples. The ONLY guy in the HOF that has no known signatures is Frank Grant.

Love this thread by the way. It's the only one I follow on BO.

No Cummings for me, but I have been going a little nuts on vintage lately.

Oddly, I don't believe there are any that meet that criterion. It's either on-card or cut from what I've seen...

So I def want to get all 114 on card guys..of course I have everyone, but on card would be nice to go alongside the vintage...I looked at what I had....72/114, so I have a ways to go....

Any guys that have just one card? Like, what did Pee Wee sign on card? I have some research to do on a good 5-6 that must have signed on early on in 90's......

Anyways....Candy Cummings....Nobody will have that.....

Love this thread by the way. It's the only one I follow on BO.

Scott F
In Cooper's case he died really young (43) and so long ago (1941) that it's no surprise his autos are virtually nonexistent. And who knows? Maybe that's how he signed his name. He wouldn't be the only one with a print signature.

And, definitely, this is the best thread on BO.

Any guys that have just one card? Like, what did Pee Wee sign on card? I have some research to do on a good 5-6 that must have signed on early on in 90's......

I'm at 109/114 - have Lasorda arriving tomorrow to make it 110/114. I'm missing Mantle, Williams, Campanella, and MacPhail - obviously tough ones.

There's a lot of moving parts - like what uniforms you'd want them in, etc. For example, LaRussa has a few A's on card, but his only Cardinals logo is 2001 Base Hit. In addition, I try to get the team name, not just Panini 'New York' on the card. For this example, I'd say Whitey Herzog has Panini stuff as a Cardinal - and even Topps Originals stuff, which I try to avoid as well. His 2003 Fan Favorites is his only mass produced Cardinals on card (you can get Retired if you want him in the Royals uniform). Another example is Sutter - his only Cardinals on-card logo is a Fan Favorites as well. Eddie Murray has surprisingly few, as does Winfield on San Diego, Puckett of course, Bunning on the Tigers, Wilhem on the White Sox, Catfish as a Yankee (1) and Athletic (I believe 2), Monte Irvin (only 1 as a Newark Eagle), etc. etc.

Pee Wee has just this card:
1994 FRONT ROW PEE WEE REESE 5 CARD SET AUTO 312/2000 | eBay

These I believe also have only one each:
Roy Campanella
Lou Boudreau
Buck Leonard
Bob Lemon
Johnny Mize
Don Drysdale
Rick Ferrell
Ray Dandridge
Al Barlick
Hal Newhouser
Leon Day
Lee MacPhail
Bobby Cox only has 2001 Base Hit (unless you want him as a young Yankees player)
Selig has just Allen & Ginter (the base, but there's technically the /10 red ink as well making it 2 cards)

Hope that helps a bit... it's been a challenge to get the specifications exactly where I want them for my collection on-card...

He kept the Mets out of the playoffs twice, so I agree with you!

Cuyler that I won from Huggins & Scott. It was rejected by PSA/DNA. I am not sure either way.

Hmmmmm lets see....

I'm up to 74 different HOF autos for cards.

That's nothing compared to what some of you have, but a nice start
