No idea. I mean, you just never see a Camo for sale. I would think a Camo would be very desirable to someone trying to complete the rainbow. However as crazy as it sounds, if I had a red power and camo staring at me in the same grade I think it would be a tough choice, which makes me think they are in the same ballpark at least.

To be fair, I don't think Mahomes gave up anything. He just gets the money guaranteed up front, so it's actually beneficial to him. It's a contractual technicality that allows the $17M in savings to be spread over the next 5 years.

This isn't like taking a below market contract. It still hits their cap, they are just kicking the can down the road.

This is for sure. But from what I have read, they want to use some free cap to extend Mathieu, I didn’t read anything about signing a few Linemen... blah, Mahomes made a few amazing throws during the super bowl with no line, but it is very obvious we could be in a little trouble if something isn’t done. Imagine averaging 300 plus yards of scrambling a game lol (which could be very possible)....

What’s Mathieu’s cap hit this year, $15M? I’m hoping we can extend and restructure his deal down into the $10-$12M range, make a few other moves, and then we can wait out some steals in FA.

If I understand this correctly:

Mathieu's cap hit next year is $19.7MM

He has 1 year left with a base salary of $14.6MM, Signing bonus hit of $4.9MM, and workout bonus of $0.25MM.

The $4.9MM is dead money. It hits no matter what.

But what they can do is extend and restructure the $14.6MM. Let's say they give him a deal for 3 years worth $40MM. The could pay him a guaranteed signing bonus of $21MM, minimal base salary of $1.0MM, in year 1, then $9MM in years 2 and 3. The bonus would be spread across the 3 years, and his cap hit would go from:

Year 1: 19.7MM

to

Year 1: $12.9MM ($1MM base, $7MM signing bonus, $4.9 Dead money)
Year 2: $16MM ($9MM base, $7MM singing bonus)
Year 3: $16MM ($9MM base, $7MM singing bonus)


It's a situation where:
-KC frees up $6.8MM this year
-Mathieu receives $21MM this year, instead of the $14.6MM he is due
-Mathieu earns himself $25.4MM more over the course of 3 years compared to his contract now.

It’s back from PSA! There were some surface issues on this card, as well as one of the corners being soft, so I’m happy with the grade...at the end of the day I just wanted to get it into a case!

Thank you! I debated sending it to BGS to get sub grades, but it’s a PC item so it’s not going to make much difference. Your on card rookie auto is nice as well!

I think that's what they are going for by making these moves.

Look, it's unfair to view it as 'They cut both starting tackles". Schwartz didn't play after week 6. They went 12-1 without him while Mahomes was in the lineup. Fisher is who you need to find a replacement for.

To do that, they have at their disposal:
-Lucas Niang
-All their draft picks
-$15MM in salary cap space (currently, this will fluctuate).

Plus, the returns of Laurent Duvernay-Tardif and Kelechi Osemele on the inside could be wildcards that improve the interior.

My takeaway is that they need to find an immediate answer at Left Tackle. If that happens, there are enough things floating around that the rest of the line could be serviceable. Regardless, the line they walk into the season with will be an improvement from what than what they rolled out in the Super Bowl
