It’s cause they printed a bunch of regular chrome uefa and retail. Also Fati and Haaland only had RC logo on the sapphires.

And Moukoko already has a Bundesliga Sapphire (which looks way better as well imo)

And Haaland & Fati are much more likely to be generational players than anyone in this class... (more specifically Haaland, but these two cards will move in synchronization, I believe, once Fati comes back)

These are not as good, no matter what some want you to think. Way more expensive out of the gate and way less value in the box. Not a bad product, but not even comparable to last years.

One raw base card, including a high chance of hitting it, recovering ~1/3 box price and people are complaining? Crazy times!

Y’all wouldn’t last as basketball collectors, odds of hitting key base rookies are low, resell is relatively low, and buy-in is significantly higher.

Last year's was a fluke. Kind of like 2001 in baseball with Pujols and Ichiro. There are some good rookies in here and I think this will be sought after for a while, but it will take a bit more on field performance first. The centering on some cards seems to really suck and gems might be rare for those. I keep looking for a nice Billy Gilmour and they are all horribly centered.

Last year's was also whenever many in the hobby were frothing over the first veteran card for a player in a debut release. So last year was Messi & Ronaldo's first Sapphire cards. I'm not arguing for against the way folks choose to collect just saying that definitely was another feather in the cap for 19-20 EUFA Sapphire.

How did I do? Only got one of the three big rookies. Got a lot of good vets, and hit 4 color and 1 variation the Haaland. And red tino anjerin.
