Gary Vee is so GD smart, that he made this dip happen to be able to buy in AGAIN at low prices, before he pumps it back up. And that is what suckers these guys running right now and undercutting everyone are. THAT is how smart this guy is... He purposely had Blake's appearance leaked, and then PURPOSELY pushed back Blake's appearance back and knew what would happen. This dude is smarter than you all think he is.... I FOMO'd hard and definitely overpaid on the last 3 cards (nothing above $200) I bought in the secondary market. I have done well enough to at least be even or up if I sold off, but I'm holding now as I do think there will be an upturn again over time. I think the market prices now are stable.

I am at the point of buying upon release so that's good.

I think that's a definite possibility. The number of buyer cancellations, seller cancellations, in-transit returns, and shill bids associated with this product is astounding. This is worse than what happened to Kobe's cards after he passed away. Emotional, first-time buyers hitting BINs and then requesting refunds once prices came down. Sellers with old listings cancelling orders and then relisting the same card with the serial number masked.

If you don't have the stomach for cryptocurrency, daytrading penny stocks, or shorting Tesla, I would consider avoiding the ebay market for this product until the dust settles. It's like "heads you win, tails I lose" right now on the secondary market given the price volatility and unscrupulous nature of both buyers and sellers. I still think there's fun to be had buying Project 2020 directly from Topps if you're a collector.

I don't think they are allowed to sell the artists cards, so this is a nice workaround.

Gary Vee is trying establish himself as the alpha dog sports card investor. This isn't as crazy as it sounds.

There's only 2,911 Ermsy Trouts available. Once these settle into collections, they won't be easy to find. Same can be said about many of the early print runs. Just food for thought
