Speaking of politics, I’ll be so happy when everything I do isn’t interrupted by commercials with the words “murder, kill, abortion, rape, incest” every 3-4 minutes.

This cycle has been pure vitriol.

I hate fireman's parades in election years because they always have candidates in them and they are all rude. You see me there filming the parade and taking photos. I'm not interested in talking to you while you are blocking my video camera.

And half the time it's in a different state where I can't even vote anyway. Politicians have zero business being in a fireman's parade if they are there to campaign and not support the first responders only.

I think political campaigning should be illegal. Debates are OK. No adds. None if them are factual anyway.

The candidate whose name does not say incumbent filed an injunction to have those ballots invalidated. (The 2600 ballots were fixed and new ones sent out but not these homes have 2 ballots)

The injunction was denied.

There are ads out saying that Mike Doyle (D) is retiring and Mike Doyle (R) is not Mike Doyle (D), flashing pictures of both, side by side. The retiring Mike Doyle (D) is out campaigning for his replacement touting “I’m the real Mike Doyle” after people have reportedly sent in mail in ballots after accidentally voting for Mike Doyle (R).

So dumb

We have a guy running for local school board that couldn't get the required number of signatures to get on the ballot, so now he has 3 times as many signs as the people on the ballots saying he is running as a write-in. Dude has 5 signs on the same corner in town. He also told me at an event downtown that his platform is lower taxes. I don't think he understands how politics work.
