Putting up 17 in a quarter and not even putting a dent in a 30 point lead is not quitting on your team.
Leaving the bench is crap. But he put it out there on the court

did he?

Here's a 2nd Q highlight where he clearly gives up on his team, leading to some 5v4 offense for Phx

76ers v Jazz would be a great series.

I don’t think the league or the majority of NBA fans would agree.

One play as opposed to a full 3 quarters of being the entire offense when no one is hitting.

Here’s a few factors. Lebron has more miles on him then anyone in the league, he’s 80 in basketball years, his injury earlier this year that still hasn’t healed has obviously wrecked his endurance and conditioning, he played almost the full first quarter and most of the second at that point which his conditioning isn’t use to that at this point in his career, he was obviously frustrated with his team getting thumped, there have been a hundred superstars/leaders that haven’t ran back on a play. Once again we are using a different set of rules and expectations for Lebron, it is what it is. Do you think jokic gives up on his team? I don’t, but I can easily find some anecdotal evidence that he has.

There is literally a video on instagram of Kobe joking with a fan while not running back on defense, saying, "I am too old for that." And I am not knocking Kobe. I love his mentality and what he stood for.. I point this out because there is a double standard like no other.

LBJ should not age. Should not get injured. Should come back faster. Should show no lingering effects. Should be the same player shouldering the same load he did 10 years ago. Should not get frustrated with teammates..

So yes, a different/double standard. But no, I don't think you can force people to see it.

Says just how bad they were when going 9-19 is the entire offense not to mention the worst plus minus on the team.

Screw the league. Elevate new players into the spotlight Adam Silver.

Lol, it’s all theater and pandering. It’s been bad for several years now, I don’t know why I even watch anymore.

Yeah, that type of theater and pandering is what causes riots, death, and burning buildings.

Wish ESPN, and those like them, could be prosecuted, but difficult to pinpoint

Pretty pathetic for Lebron to leave the court with 5 minutes left. Real leadership there

Lillard recorded a Game Score of 55.90 which shattered the previous record held by Charles Barkley in 1994 of 52.60.

2021 Lillard: 55.90

1994 Barkley: 52.60

1992 Jordan: 49.80

1987 Floyd: 49.10

1987 Olajuwon: 48.60

Hakeem’s 1987 game was previously the best playoff game by Game Score in a loss.
yeah that was pretty special last night.

Hakeem had 49/25/2 on 58% shooting and 6 blocks

Got to watch Lillard perform last night... it was pretty special. Guy was making incredible shots.

Unfortunately, he's on one of the most consistently incomplete teams in the NBA this last decade. Very soon his playoff performances will disappear like a fart in the wind, the same way they do every year.

Can we get a small market super team together with him and Giannis? Send them to the new Seattle franchise for nostalgia sake?

Idk. Was it? Was it down 30 points with his team putting up a dud and having to brunt the load? Idk. But I do know it was in his later years and he was frustrated with his teammates. Not unlike someone else.

There is a double standard. I usually don't say much. But seeing this going on for years and years. I've decided to point it out. It's easier to see when you're not vested.

The loss in on lebron regardless of what excuses people come up with. He didn't set the tone for the team at all and his 17 point quarter was after they were already down 30. More is expected from him because of his all-time standing.

Love all of the excuses.... "He's not 100%, he's in his 18th year, his teammates sucked, etc." Some of the excuses have changed a tad through the years, but rest assured... there are always excuses lol.

That said, we have to still say the Lakers win the series, right? It's the Suns and CP3 is hurt. There's no way lebron can't get by Devin Booker. Not to mention the league will not let LA lose in the first round.
