He's got a ton of great affordable auto's especially when you venture away from his rookies / pre rookies

I don't collect cards of players outside of pre rookie / rookie years though.

I'm sure there's good money to be made there but it just becomes too much to keep track of so i stick with what i know.

Personally, I put 0 stock into checklists and card numbers. For my collecting purposes, if the card is from a player's rookie year, it's a rookie. I know a lot of people I've talked to feel the same.

If it has that RC logo and is from the rookie year then to me it’s a rookie

I am not saying it is right or wrong. I believe the thinking is since any type of SP is not on a checklist that means it is not formally acknowledged by Topps. I kind of understand the thinking.

The Topps chrome rookie is on a checklist and it’s an insert. The title of the check list say rookie autographs and it has the rookie logo. To me it’s a rookie card, even being an insert
