nightman, sorry dude, would it help if I said $140 is fair and that $200 plus for Jackie was even better? It's just my opinion.

I know, I'm just giving you a hard time. I don't spread hate. If we disagree, I'll do it with more tact than a meme.

I'm more of the mindset that I hope it doesn't dip that low.

Damn, that's what I suspected. The cook group crap multiplies the risk of returns by 1000. Basically getting freerolled due to eBay's policies. Card goes up, I ship, card goes down, they cancel. Risk of preselling though, so can't complain too much.

Feels bad. I'm getting absolutely wrecked on a Rochester Griffey I bought from you a day or two ago at the moment, but I'm happy to wear it if that ends up being the case. Strange world where we live in that a deal is a deal.

Well I don't collect much anymore. I bought the Jeter Saladeen and Baller Trout. Then on the Ted Williams Ermsy I said I was going to buy a 10 pack from then on. Unfortunately I only did it on 15-17 cards after that until the huge print runs began. I really regretted missing out on all the potential profit like most I'm sure. I think every card with a huge print run for the foreseeable future will basically be worthless. Which looks like it will be every card for weeks to come. I like a the look of the recent cards. I like hearing from guys like Blake and the artists that are doing the project and seem really passionate about it. So I kinda want to just buy to collect now. I like buying 10 packs but with no resale value it's hard to justify $1,600 a week. I may try to go down to only buying 1-5 per card.

I actually calculate the interaction the artist's have with the public and even if they aren't extroverts like that, what other reasons they are offering to the public to buy their cards. Saladeens Money Bear card was genius, JK5's secret box and even Rochester's previous work, heck even Fucci's comment to the snob was awesome. Sophia Chang hasn't really done much that I've seen with P2020. I asked a question a month ago about autos and she finally responded with "go to Topps.com".....her work is nice though.

I would definitely be interested in this. I think some of the colorful works would really pop even more larger scale. Would the Vides large prints also have matte marker printing?

This particular person also bought in heavy on Vides Ryan, Ermsy Gibson, and Don C Thomas. That Thomas image is floating around here somewhere.

Lol do you think I read every post in this thread? I have zero clue what you're talking about what "BoredLawyer" said. I don't have a photographic memory. So he was 1 of the people not in the 99%? Good for him I guess.

Low print runs will have value because people will need them and over time they may be tough to find. You will ALWAYS be able to get a high print run card on these and find someone who wants to sell it. When there are thousands of one card listed there will always be at least one of several thousand sellers willing to take less and less to sell.

Appreciate that man. I sold 5 of those at $25-35 and then 3 at $165 so I'm on both ends of that one. At least we're up to card 63 from Topps now so they should be coming in soon. Also suspect we're near the bottom and due for a little bounceback but what do I know.

Cartoons Gooden back up to 450-500. Was down earlier. These things are jumping all over the place. Fascinating to watch from the $20 sidelines....

Same here. I’m willing to eat a card or two I overpaid from my frenzy than make up some sob story to return it and screw over another guy’s profit. No need to be a Richard about it. And at the end of the day I can still enjoy a tangible asset!

You can definitely see who's in this for the love and who's in this for the paycheck. I love Chang's work, but she's really failing to diversify her brand by not reaching out to a new market.

Don't forget about Blake's fanny packs!!!!

I think in the end, the biggest push to buy the cards is going to be the art....and the rarity of 1-80.

I think what we're seeing, or at least it's become more clear, that there has been shenanigans and now a correction is taking place. Corrections always go severe, but settle back up over time. 1-80 will rise again, not to the level they once were (I could be wrong), but they still have everything in them to be highly sought after cards.

Especially when it's all over. People will continue to want to collect these, or they'll have a bunch and didn't get them all, or people will just like certain cards and want them. Collect the set, collect the player, collect the artist, collect the best looking cards. There's a lot ways to collect for many different people.

This set is iconic. How that equates $$$ wise remains to be seen. I'm bullish.

You should've got into this to collect and enjoy. If you saw money to be made, it's on you to take the risk, that's a choice. If you were in early with the 10 packs, you should be good. If you were in late, the bottom is still higher than cost. At worst, you're pushing. Thats not easy to do in sportscards these days with the new stuff. Myself, I spent the $1600 on 1 card, instead of 10 different ones. I did well. I'm highly selective will probably do the same for a few other cards. As for the doom and gloom, it's strange coming from someone planning to put money into for the foreseeable future.....

Suspect you're right. I don't think the card has the upside I thought it did at the time of purchase, but I still think it has room where we can both make out on it. Everything under 10k should be fine. We're just in a shitstorm of panic selling right now, but from what can gather on my own it's slowing down. Wish you the best in your collecting of P2020 moving forward!

Chang’s just being silly about it. I guess she doesn’t need the money.....

I’d be printing it if I was one of these people.
