There's another base already at $30 with 5+ days. So the $41 ^ is not toooo crazy yet. But if it jumps to $100+, people think it's the refractor.

I guess you’re banking on no season?
In two months it’ll be spring and the hype machine will be on overdrive.
In three months it’ll be (hopefully) almost a full month of action. Unless he’s awful, i wouldn’t count on a discount.

No, but what is the reason for this specific base card to go that high? It's not an RC. Heck, it's not even a second year card. It's not a new release. It's the off season, so there are no performance reasons for it to go that high. It's an SP, not an SSP, so there are plenty of them to go around. As far as I can tell, on eBay, there has never been a base go past $100 and that includes a PSA 10 that sold Jan 3rd of this month.

The main thing it has going for it is that the photo is awesome. That and the Blowout pump that is occurring right now. Look how many just got listed with high BINs in the last 24 hours or so. Willing to bet they are blowout readers.

This is a $40 - $50 base card at best. I am all about people making their money and considering I am an avid SP/Photo Variation collector, I'm sure I will be getting one in the future. Just not right now.

It got to $40+ in March and dropped back below $10 as recently as November. You can probably find a cheaper BIN pop up, but I suspect the auctions may go higher than $40. The supply is starting to come out after that auction last night...let's see if it's enough to meet demand.

We should see a flood hit ebay, price is driven down, supply dries up, price goes back up, repeat.

In order to cannibalize the Shuffle Stadium Club Chrome, Topps would need to issue a chrome card that has a picture like or equal to the shuffle.

Lets assume it's the exact same picture. The only product that offers a Chrome card with numbered colored parallels is Topps Chrome. However the Stadium Club is hard as nails to hit so it's more equivalent to an Image Variation SP Chrome. If the 2022 Topps Chrome set has an Image Variation Refractor of Soto doing the shuffle, the you could possibly see a downtick in demand, but that is a long shot.

A new paper base is a different crowd, ultra premium products are at the other end of the spectrum with a different crowd too.

I think the SC Soto Shuffle is here to stay.
