Crazy to think that in the last 10 finals either a lebron lead team, the warriors or both have played in the finals. We are potentially one suns win away from a lebron/warriors free finals haha

I had the game on but wasn't paying full attention, however I heard that LeBron left the bench with 5:49 left in the 4th, down big (having been subbed out just before the end of the 3rd). Commentators used some excuse about his ankle but that to me just reeks of poor leadership.

Not shocking, lakers are down their 1b, Lebron is old and hobbled, the role players are playing like dirt, and they are playing the second best team (record wise) in the league. Maybe AD comes back game 6 and the lakers are reenergized. Lakers starters not named Lebron combined for 11 points, 11 freaking points. Lebron had a 17 point 3rd quarter and they didn’t even put a dent in the suns lead.

When you said “didn’t matter” I gave you the benefit of the doubt and assumed you were saying that Hawks win didn’t matter because the 76ers were so injured. I think you obviously are the one making a poor attempt to prove your point.
I know that there were some great games tonight, but let's not lose sight of the fact that Philly superfan GoMiami was talking all of this noise before and was just proven to be straight up wrong:

"you should read more carefully, and not just keep ignoring the facts in a poor attempt to make your point."

"I'll write it again since you clearly missed the result when it happened and when I reminded you of it above: Hawks had Trae, Hunter, Capela, Collins, Reddish, Huerter. Didn't matter."

"76ers didn't have Tobias, Simmons or Curry. 76ers won by 18."

"If you're going to ignore every fact that proves you wrong then good for you."

The Hawks actually won the game he's referencing by 18, not the 76ers. The only 2 games Philly beat ATL in this year was a B2B where ATL was super short handed and Philly was virtually at full strength.

You should honestly be forced to give up your account after that showing above.

Please come in the thread with your tail between your legs though and acknowledge that you've been a clown. Thanks.

It's a bummer the Dubs didn't beat the Lakers.

GS vs PHO would have been fun. This hasn't exactly been a great series to watch.

Love the DEN vs POR series. Going 7 and fireworks to match.

This BKN vs MIL series is juicy. Would love to see MIL have these BKN guys pointing fingers at each other.

Not enough. Every other superstar ever would have dropped 50 in the quarter!

For real, though. 11 points is a joke. I knew it was bad. I didn't know it was that bad. Denver/Portland was far more entertaining.

LeBron is the ultimate front runner. Guy sure leaves the bench early a lot when his team loses.

It's hard to believe that we may not see even one of the 4 biggest hobby stars make it to the 2nd round.

Lebron and Luka are on thin ice. Curry and Zion didn't even get in..

With prices already tanking, this is definitely not a good thing.

I'm sick of Lebron. I'd even accept the Nets at this point.

Its great. Hobby needs new stars.

There's already enough money in those players we don't need anymore going there.

Lakers winning again would be terrible for the hobby.

Nuggets lost game 4 where Lillard shot 1/10 and had 10 points
Nuggets won game 5 where Lillard shot 17/24 and had 55 points

Fascinating

As long as we don't get Nets in the Finals I'll be happy with anyone.

It was pretty obvious what LeBron was doing last night. He knew that even if they lost, they still have game 6 at home (where he knows he will get EVERY call, and where the hope is AD can play), and then a game 7 where all bets are off and anything can happen. He knows he’s not 2012 ECF game 6 LeBron anymore and he can’t win the game by himself at this point in his career. Therefore, he was feeling it out to see if anyone else was going to step up and have a big game. It became pretty clear right at the beginning of the 2nd quarter that wasn’t happening. He got 11 points from all other starters combined and his starting backcourt laid a goose egg. I can’t imagine any team in the history of basketball has ever won a playoff game while getting zero points from your starting backcourt. He saw that and figured it made more sense to save his energy for games 6 and 7.

Do not @ me saying I’m defending LeBron, I’m not. I’m just telling you what I saw. Will it work out the way he wants? Who knows. But, he knew pretty quickly into game 5 that they weren’t winning that game, and he has limited gas left in the tank, so I’m sure he didn’t want to waste it in a game he knew they couldn’t win.

This is true.

If it’s not going to be the Mavs, I hope it’s Clippers/Nets. Watch those NBA Finals ratings sink even further.

If true, sounds like he quit on his team. Leaving the bench early was cute too. I’m sure his treatment could have waited another 15 minutes.

I don't really have a dog in the fight, so I'd like to see the Jazz or Suns make the Finals just to show that the regular season still matters

Yeah that was completely indefensible and he is clearly acting like a giant baby. I’m sure he’s got his excuses lined up and ready to go just incase they lose game 6.

Danny Ainge has been fired after drafting 1 [one] All-Star and underperforming almost every season.
