40 would also be career number 350. Would be awesome if he can get it this year.

252 more HRs to get to 600 would require a pace of 30 homers a year for roughly the next 8.5 seasons

Anyone want to guess on the odds he does this?

600 is probably a stretch, but 500 seems in reach as long as he takes care of his back.

It will come down to what he wants to do and how long he wants to keep playing.

He's got 8 years left on his deal. Assuming there's no career ending injury, 500 is well within reach. Other question is does he keep playing after the contract is up.

if he can get his back issue taken care of, he'll be entering the "Big Mac" phase of his career and only going yard

That's the only place I could really see. Play at home at the end of his career, etc.

I apologize everybody. I turned the game on and didn't even see one pitch of his no hitter. The ultimate freaking curse.

Definitely a favorite to get to 600 HR if he can stay reasonably healthy. This season was the 2nd highest ISO of his career, that power is not going to decline. Has an outside shot at 700. No reason Trout can't play past 40.

To be honest, after the past 3 years —— reaching 500 would be a wonderful accomplishment

What are people thoughts on the odds of Trouty getting traded this off-season? With the preparation of new ownership, and possible Ohtani trade, IMO it went from the perpetual 0% chance to something along the lines of 25%. I think it all hinges on whether or not, the management wants to get something of return for Shohei. The most likely scenario is that they hold on to everyone, hope for the return of Rendon to help immensely and pick up some more solid complementary pieces to spur them into playoff contention. And if it all falls apart then trade Shohei by the trade deadline. For nickels on the dollar. Thoughts from any other fans?
